Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 689

Rosetta:

I had been ruled by my raw emotions ever since I saw and met Madeline.

There was a weird feeling between us.

She was very beautiful. The more I saw her on TV, the more beautiful she seemed.

Sometimes I would stand in front of the mirror and think that maybe I was beautiful too, but no.

Madeline was more beautiful than anyone else.

The way she talked, the way she looked at me, somewhere in it all, I sensed a little sadness.

And that was purely because of what she had been through.

She had been scarred so much that she had become a little rough, a little tough.

Still, it was pleasant meeting her.

"Did you have a guest?"

Lady Eugenia arrived and asked me that, even trying to grab my wrist to stop me from going into the basement.

"Not really," I replied, shaking my head.

"Then let's eat together," my mother said, trying to pull me away.

I had only a few rules for the people living in my household.

Elara was not allowed to go to the second floor, and my mother was never allowed on the ground floor or in the basement.

Once in a while, even though the child understood and obeyed the odd rules without question, my mother would slip through the cracks.

"Maybe next time. I'm really not hungry. I'm just working on some jewelry pieces right now," I said, trying to excuse myself so I could go into the basement.

"Then I'll come and watch you work," my mother requested.

That was when I smiled at her.

"Oh, Mother, go to the second floor. I don't want Elara to wake up from her nap, see you, and start screaming that she saw a monster."

I was only trying to joke, but I didn't know why my mother took offense to it. She looked genuinely offended.

"Oh, sorry. Now, please excuse me."

I walked toward the basement, but then I noticed Bodhi at the top of the stairs, hiding behind the railing, his body pressed against it. My heart crumbled.

I turned to look at my mother and realized she had seen me looking at Bodhi.

"Did you give him a bath?" I asked my mother in a rough, raw voice.

She placed her hands on her waist and sighed.

"Come on, he's Bexter's son. Like you said, he's the only one with his blood. So go and take care of him, because when I come upstairs again, I want Bodhi to have a smile on his lips."
