Accidentally Pregnant By My Alpha Best friends (Madeline) novel Chapter 694

Rosetta:

Some kids have parents, toys, luxuries, love, affection, friends, and a perfect life.

Some barely survive.

Me? I had none of it. Just a diary.

Every year, the woman who called herself my aunt would give me a diary.

I started writing in it from a very young age.

She allowed me to, but she would only unchain me for fifteen minutes a day.

In those fifteen minutes, I had to shower, eat, use the restroom, and write in my diary.

Sometimes, she would bless me with a little more time because she made me do chores.

At first, I thought life was simply like that.

Obedience.

I believed every child lived that way, so I never complained.

I had become desensitized to all the brutality.

Until one day, a woman barged in with her daughter, who was much older than me.

I was taken into a room and laid beside the girl.

I was shocked to see her bleeding, barely breathing.

That was when I began to realize what was happening.

The woman who called herself my aunt started chanting, ordering the wounded girl's soul to enter my body and mine to enter hers.

I understood that my soul would die with her body, while her soul would become the new Rosetta.

So I fought back.

A few minutes earlier, if I had not seen that woman crying for her daughter, I would have believed everyone lived a harsh life.

But the girl lying beside me had not deserved this either.

Even in her final moments, her mother was outside, crying and praying to the Moon Goddess to save her daughter.

That was when I started to fight back.

I felt my body being ripped away from me.

The pain was unbearable.

My body began to shudder despite my attempts to control it.

At that moment, I realized it was over for me.

These people were not going to let me live.

But then, suddenly, the other soul started to resist.

I felt as if it did not want to leave its body either.

For a brief moment, my soul left my body, and I saw the other soul standing in the corner of the room, hugging herself tightly and refusing to enter mine.

Our eyes met, and I gasped when she pointed at me.

"I'm not going to steal your body," she said, making me glance toward the woman who was still performing the ritual.

But I could not touch her, nor could she see us.
