“Please tell me. I just want to punish my wolf for lying so much,” I insisted, and genuinely, that was what I wanted to do.

I wasn’t a teenage boy for my wolf to so proudly exploit and lie to.

I was a father, a husband. I had duties.

My wife and my children deserved to know everything in great detail and with complete honesty.

“Okay, so how about you try to drift away from me? You try to act like you’re believing your wolf. I will go around and flirt with other men. Maybe Daniel.”

I had to stop her there, snapping my fingers at her.

“Wait, you said I would flirt with other women, and I can be in control of that. But what do you mean you’ll flirt with Daniel?”

As soon as I asked that question, I watched her narrow her eyes at me.

“I will have more control over myself while you have a wolf who is unpredictable. I don’t know what he would do when it comes to flirting,” she snapped, causing me to scratch the back of my neck as I realized she made more sense than I did.

“Anyway, let’s see how your wolf feels when you tell him that you want to have more mates if he’s not gonna accept me, and then you bring in Kaylee. I will start letting the truth about Kaylee come out so that your wolf feels agitated around her. “Well, the truth is that Daniel had a crush on her, and she rejected him in the most brutal way. Not only that, she kind of mocked him, called him weak, and all that. I’ll fill you in on all of it in a moment. But I think this will also help their relationship,” I said, placing my hands on my waist and nodding with a smile on my lips.

“Okay, you’re scaring me,” Madeline commented, grabbing my collar and pulling me close.

She leaned forward and kissed my lips while I placed my hands on her back, gently and lovingly massaging it.

“When your sister sees Daniel flirting with you, she will start showing her true feelings too, because I do believe that Livia has liked his attention all this time, and that’s what kept her from recognizing her feelings for him. So, let’s do it,” I said after breaking the kiss and gently running my fingers over her cheeks.

“In the meantime, we will have that meeting with the humans. They are coming over tomorrow,” Madeline reminded me, slowly wrapping her arms around me and resting her head on my shoulder.

“Yeah, we will have our son back, Madeline. Don’t worry,” I reassured her, gently patting her back.

It seemed like things were finally falling into place.
