"Honey, I'm busy. I'll call you back."
Jordan noticed his secretary step in, so he ended the call in a hurry.

About fifteen minutes later, Natalie pulled up to The Lane Estate. The moment she drove in, she spotted a car she didn't recognize parked out front. The plates were unfamiliar, too.
She got out and circled the car twice. It was a Ferrari, worth at least four million dollars. Way more expensive than anything she drove.
"Whose car is this?" Natalie muttered under her breath.
She didn't have to wonder long. The house manager rushed out to meet her.
"Natalie, thank goodness you're back. That woman is here. You know, Jackson's mistress. She just waltzed in like she owns the place, walking around, critiquing everything, telling us the decor is all wrong and barking orders on how to fix it."
Natalie frowned. "The way things are set up hasn't changed in years. Cynthia arranged everything to suit Jackson's tastes. What could possibly be wrong with it?"
Everyone who worked for the Lane family already knew about Jackson's divorce. The papers weren't even signed yet, and the mistress was already trying to take over.
Natalie's mood soured. "Who does she think she is? Cynthia herself wouldn't dare move things around, and yet this woman thinks she can?"
"She even went upstairs," the house manager continued, "and said the east room should be cleared out for her son. She asked if Cynthia's things were packed up yet. She said when Cynthia and Jackson get divorced, she'll marry Jackson, throw a wedding, move in, and have Jackson's room completely remodeled as their new suite."
"She also wants Jordan's study split into two rooms so her son can have one."
She didn't hesitate. She slapped Natalie right back. Then she shoved Natalie, making her stumble backward. Natalie would have fallen, but the house manager caught her just in time.
Natalie had never been treated like this before. At home, she was cherished by her family. After marrying into the Lane family, even Cynthia treated her with extra care. And now some mistress thought she could push her around?
Natalie steadied herself and lunged at Deborah again, shouting, "Who do you think you are? You dare insult me and curse me? You're the one who can't have kids! Your whole family is full of barren hens!"
Losing her baby had been the most painful thing in Natalie's life. Jordan and Jackson barely spoke of it, and the staff knew better than to ever bring it up.
But this woman not only cursed her, she even blamed her pets for it.
Natalie took a shaky breath. Her cats were always vaccinated, had regular vet visits, and were cared for by professionals. There was no way her pets could have caused any harm.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
