After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 557

He really was something else. Watching his own wife hang on to Ethan like that... Did Jordan seriously not notice? Even if Ethan and Natalie never crossed any lines, Jordan had to know Natalie had feelings for Ethan. Was he really that indifferent?

Isabella doubted it. Jordan was just putting up with it, probably for the sake of The Lane Group. If things soured between him and Ethan, and The Adams Group cut business ties, The Lane Group would take a huge hit.

Men always seemed to care more about their careers and ambitions. To Jordan, Natalie was just his best asset for making money.

A voice came from inside, calling their number. It was finally their turn.

She turned to Ethan. “That’s us.” Without waiting for anyone, Isabella headed in.

“Isabella, Isabella.” Natalie called her name twice but didn’t follow.

Isabella never looked back. Natalie turned to Ethan with a pleading look. “Ethan, I’m honestly here to talk some sense into you. Remember how hard you fought with your family just to marry her? You finally got everyone’s approval. Now, after just a few months, you’re getting divorced? Doesn’t that make everything you went through pointless?”

“If you go back and refuse to sign the divorce, she can’t do anything. Even if she takes you to court, as long as you say you still have feelings, the judge won’t grant the divorce.”

Ethan didn’t reply. He just walked in after Isabella.

As soon as Ethan’s figure disappeared, Natalie grinned. Ethan and Isabella were really getting divorced... and she got to witness the whole thing.

She allowed herself a secret little laugh, then followed them inside, putting on a show like she still wanted to stop the divorce.

But Ethan and Isabella were already starting the paperwork.

The clerk looked at both of them. “Are you absolutely sure you want this divorce?”

“Let’s go get the house transfer done first.”

Divorce certificate or not, he was signing over the villa they’d lived in. That place was their home. For three years, they’d built a life there—or at least, it had felt like three years in his dreams. To Isabella, that villa was home.

“What house transfer?” Natalie asked, her voice sharp.

Isabella looked at her for a second, then answered calmly, “It’s in the divorce agreement. Ethan is transferring our villa to me. From now on, it’s mine.”

Natalie spun to stare at Ethan in disbelief. The villa they’d lived in was Ethan’s favorite house. It was huge, beautifully decorated, even nicer than The Lane Estate. When the market was at its peak, it was worth two hundred million. Even now, after prices dropped, it was still worth over a hundred million.

And Ethan was just giving it to Isabella.
