Chapter 482 The Unpredictable Turn
If a man like him stepped into the ring, would any of them even stand a chance?
The thought sent a collective shiver down their spines.

Back in their room, Norman shut the door and wore a rare, stern expression. “In the future, don’t meddle in other people’s business.”
“Hmph.”
Tammy was the type who responded to kindness but bristled at force. Seeing Norman’s cold face, she turned away, refusing to speak.
Norman’s expression softened instantly. He sighed helplessly. “I’m serious. What if, just now…”
“I could have dodged it. I wouldn’t have been hurt even if you hadn’t stepped in.” Her senses were incredibly sharp; she had detected the threat long before the stool swung.
Norman didn’t doubt her for a second, but his voice remained firm. “I can’t tolerate anyone laying a hand on you. You are my life.”
Tammy….
Naturally, her face turned a deep, radiant crimson. She was never one to hide her emotions, especially when her heart was racing. She lunged forward and gave Norman a loud, resounding peck on the cheek.
“I like you the most!”
Norman froze in place. After her sudden display of affection, Tammy scrambled back onto the bed to dive back into sleep, completely ignoring the man she had just thoroughly provoked.
Norman looked down at his lap, then at the girl who had managed to fall asleep in seconds, and finally resigned himself to the bathroom to handle his personal frustrations.
The next morning, a knock on the door woke them.
Norman opened his eyes first. For a split second, his gaze wasn’t his usual nonchalant self but was laced with a bloodthirsty indifference–a look that vanished as quickly as it appeared. He rose and opened the door to find two arena staff members.
“Something wrong?”
“The manager wants to see you.”

Norman figured the events of last night wouldn’t be settled so casily. He nodded. “Give me a few minutes.”
He washed up quickly and took the time to fry an egg and assemble a sandwich for Tammy’s breakfast before grabbing his jacket to leave.
The two staff members were stunned. A fighter of his caliber actually did the cooking? What was his woman even there for?
One of them couldn’t help but comment, “You spoil your woman too.
They get arrogant when you treat them like that. There’s no need–once you move to the top floors, women are a dime a dozen.”
The words had barely left his mouth when Norman turned his head.
When their eyes met, the staff member broke into a cold sweat. What a terrifying gaze! It felt like a blade drenched in blood. For a moment, he genuinely thought he was dead. That look was far more chilling than any of the high–level fighters upstairs.
Norman retracted his gaze. He didn’t want to cause trouble, so he simply said, “Let’s go.”
“Right… right.” The staff member quickly shut his mouth and led the way.
Norman calculated that by the time Tammy woke up and finished breakfast, he’d likely be back, so he hadn’t disturbed her sleep.
Tammy slept until she woke up naturally. Her instincts used to be hyper–alert, but after being with Norman for so long, she had grown accustomed to his protection, gradually allowing herself to fall into a deep, restful slumber.
She realized immediately that she was alone in the room. Her heart tightened, and she jumped out of bed to search the small space. Only when she spotted the neatly made sandwich did she breathe a sigh of relief.
He even had time to make breakfast, so he must have just stepped out for a moment. He’ll be back soon.
She narrowed her eyes happily and, after brushing her teeth, sat dow joy the meal Norman had prepared. However, even after she finished eating, Norman still hadn’t returned. An uneasy feeling began to stir in her chest.
Knock, knock.
The door sounded again. Thinking he was back, she ran to the door with excitement. “You-”
The person outside wasn’t Norman. It was Sylvie.
The smile on Tammy’s face vanished instantly. The shift was so blatant that Sylvie’s jaw
