Tatiana exposed him without a shred of mercy. “You were thrown over her shoulder, weren’t you?”

Lucas went silent.

Tatiana curled her lips slightly, thinking to herself: Served him right.

“Alright, leave this to me. Stay in the hospital and recover.”

Lucas didn’t argue. His influence was too meager; a place like the underground arena was deep- rooted and held immense power. It wasn’t something he could shake. He could only wait for Tatiana to take action.

A wave of powerlessness washed over him. If he were the true heir of the Cole family, he wouldn’t be so incapable that he couldn’t even conduct a proper investigation. He clenched his fists tightly, a fire igniting in his heart and burning brighter by the second.

Tatiana didn’t waste any time. After leaving the hospital, she headed straight for the underground arena. On the way, Jasper remained uncharacteristically quiet.

“You have friends like that?”

She had already looked into the arena’s operations. It wasn’t just a place for boxing; it was a massive coliseum where fighters were treated like beasts in a cage. Tatiana told the driver to pull over. “You should go.”

“Why?”

“If you go there, you’ll only cause trouble.”
