Chapter 625 Shadows of the Past

She didn’t return directly to the main mining camp, choosing instead to head straight to Lucas’s personal quarters, terrified that the excessive amount of blood staining her clothes might frighten Xavier and the

others.

On the surface, she appeared completely normal. Eating, drinking, and sleeping soundly as if absolutely nothing had occurred.

The passengers from the mini tram, however, had a completely different reaction the moment they successfully escaped the wildlife park. Their immediate instinct was to collectively file charges against Tammy for intentional assault.

Unfortunately for them, the surveillance system inside the tram had broken down long ago, failing to capture a single frame of the incident.

While they lacked physical evidence, they possessed plenty of witnesses.

They banded together, determined to launch a formal joint lawsuit. Yet, the moment they turned to initiate the process, unexpected complications arose, forcing every single individual to voluntarily abandon the case.

The reason was simple; they had each received a very firm, subtle warning.

No matter how furious Norman remained, he had still stepped in to resolve the matter on her behalf.

The moment he caught wind of their intentions to sue/Tammy for intentional assault, he dispatched his subordinates to flatten the issue completely.

He even went as far as to mock them ruthlessly. “A pack of useless trash who can’t even handle a simple crisis. She would have to be completely blind to choose any of you!”

Standing to the side, one of his subordinates responded instinctively, “Love isn’t a calculation based on who possesses the most capability.”

The words had barely left his mouth when the subordinate encountered a lethal glare, forcing him to shut his mouth instantly.

“Get the hell out of here.”

“Yes, sir.”

Norman violently kicked his chair aside, smashing every single object within his reach.

Yet, the profound sense of frustration in his chest didn’t diminish in the slightest.
