Chapter 672 Sending Her Away
They both paused. Sherry said, “You first—what is it?”
Liam went along, “I know a nice resort that’s good for pregnancy. I want to take you there.”
The warmth in her face faded.
“Where?”
“In Murica.”
At that name, her heart cooled.
Still, she kept up the act, “Murica?”
“Yeah—a new resort, nice setting, has a hospital. A lot of women go there to rest and deliver. You mentioned going abroad for the birth—this works.”
“But you said you couldn’t travel abroad.”
Liam said smoothly, “I’ll make it a business trip—come with you. Don’t worry.”
A business trip?
His position didn’t allow that.
He was lying.
Just an excuse to get rid of her.
The reason was obvious.
He wanted her out of the way.
This man—so cold.
“Why the face? Don’t you want to go?”
Sherry took a breath, “Can I say no?”
“What’s wrong—why the change of heart? Worried about something?”
He looked so concerned—you’d never guess what was really going on.
She nearly believed him.
“Would you come with me?”
“Of course.”
“Really?”
“Don’t you trust me?”
Could she?
She didn’t ask out loud.
Instead, she nodded gently, “Okay—come with me then.”
Seeing her agree, he relaxed.
Of course he wouldn’t go.
His position didn’t allow something that obvious.
But Sherry had to leave first.
Tatiana was reading through wedding plans when a hand came down and pressed the papers flat.
She followed the arm upward—met jealous eyes.
She tugged, “Let go.”
“You care a lot about this wedding.”
She glared.
“Obviously—it’s the last bet. Win it, Sherry folds.”
“You’re that sure Liam knows about the past?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Gut.”
Jasper pursed his lips—finally let go.
His woman was planning a wedding with another man.
But he had no say.
Tatiana looked at the plans but couldn’t focus.
