Alpha Nicholas novel Chapter 81

Alpha Nicholas

I had my phone call taken care of and was changed and I had eaten within 30 minutes of my brothers leaving my office. As far as I’m concerned the sooner we leave the better and if everyone else is ready before the time I set then we can get out of here even quicker. The moment I step outside with Bonnie at my side im instantly filled with pride. There must be over 300 members of my pack out here and ready to go.

“It’s a good turnout,” Shane says as he comes to stand beside me with Lilly on his arm. While I want as many members as possible to fight, l have also made it very clear that it’s not mandatory and there won’t be any hard feelings towards those who decide not to come. However, looking around at everyone who is here now, I know that pretty much every Warrior is here and ready to head out.

“I’ve spoken to Steven and Harry and told them to stay back. Their mates are days away from giving birth. They don’t need to be out there risking themselves when their minds will be on their mates and their mates don’t need the stress of worrying when they are so close to giving birth.” He says as he looks around the groups of men and women.

I nod appreciating his forward thinking. “Absolutely.” I agree. I take one more look around the men trying to figure out if anyone is missing who has already confirmed that they are coming when I spot Colt one of my top warriors and head his way. “Hey, Colt. You got a second?” He nods before following me away from the group that he was just with. ” Is everything ok, Alpha?”

“Colt, while I appreciate you turning up here today and being willing to risk your life for those little boys, it’s not something that I can ask of you and neither would Tony or Rose if they knew that you were here.”+15 Bonus

“I appreciate that, Alpha but it’s my job and I’m honoured to be a part of this search.”

know, Colt but would prefer you stay back. Your mate gave birth just two days ago. You have a two-day-old baby boy who needs his dad around. Plus, if you stay here I was hoping that you would help my dad with covering guard duty. You’re still doing your job but just in a safer manner.” He looks disappointed for a moment but I also don’t miss the clear relief in his eyes. There was no way he wanted to leave his mate and son yet, but as always he was loyal to a fault and was stilt willing to do this and I couldn’t be any more proud of him.

“Of course, I can do that, Alpha.”

“Thank you. My dad’s in my office. Why don’t you go on up and see him?

‘ve already informed him that I’ll be asking you to stay back and help him.” He nods once again, thanking me and heading inside. Of course, my dad wanted to come today but he’s not as young as he used to be, not that he will admit that besides, I needed someone to take care of the pack while I’m gone and while it may be a Beta’s job to cover things when I can’t, there’s no way on earth was I going to be able to keep Shane back today, no way!

“That was the right thing to do. I was debating about talking to him myself earlier,” Shane says as we approach him at the top of the front steps. I nod agreeing as I take one final look around. “Are we ready to leave?” There are still fifteen minutes left until the scheduled time but I haven’t seen anyone else turn up so there’s a chance that we will get out of here early.

“I think so. Robbie and Will are inside now checking for anyone else.

Oh, and the Omegas came out here around twenty minutes ago and filled the vehicles with drinks and snacks.” That makes me smile. I don’t give a fuck what your ranking is, I judge who you are on how you treat people and I swear out of all the Omegas that I have met in my time, ours are up there with the best. No one asked them to do that but they did it out of the goodness of their hearts and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Within five minutes both Robbie and Will are back with six more Warriors and everyone is in the SUVs and we are on our way. Bonnie, Rose, Lily and Sophie all wanted to come but we wouldn’t allow it. I know they want to help but there’s not a chance on earth that either I or my brothers would be able to concrete with our mates there.

Plus, Tony made a valid plea to Rosie when he said that if they both go there and both die that the boys will be left without any parents. As confident as l am in my men, it doesn’t mean that the worst won’t happen and if it does those boys need at least one parent alive. And the painful truth is that they know Rosie but they don’t know Tony so it only makes sense for him to be the one to go, not that anything would have stopped him anyway

A twig snapping has every single man in my group tensing up and looking behind us only to find Alpha Harld and two of his warriors approaching us. “Alpha Harold. Thank you for helping us out.” He shakes his head as he comes to stand beside me while his men follow his every move.”You never need to thank me for this. I’ve heard the rumours about these camps more than once but until today I’ve never known any of it to be true and to know that there’s a chance that they have two missing little boys in there, to know that they were taken away from their mom… Well, that makes my blood boil and im happy to help end every single one of them and so are my men. I’m only sorry that I don’t have more of them with me.

“Please, don’t apologise. Just the fact that you have been willing to help keep watch has been more than enough. We don’t expect any of you to get involved in this matter.” He raises his eyebrows and already I’m pretty sure I know what he’s going to say next.

“Like fuck are we walking away until we know that every single one of them is dead and hopefully that those little boys are back with their mom. Besides, if I tell my daughter that we are going home now I do not doubt that she will end me herself. She is one hell of a fighter and doesn’t take kindly to this kind of behaviour as neither do any of us here.

“Well, in that case please feel free to join us, your daughter too.” A laugh bubbles out of him. “I couldn’t stop her even if I wanted to.”

“Sounds like my kind of woman!” Ryan chrips causing me to choke on a laugh. Not the time Ryan, not the time, even if it was funny.

“Nick… Nick..” Tony’s voice distracts me from Ryan’s smart mouth while the tone of his voice has the hairs on the back of my neck standing to attention.

“What is it?” He looks sick as he stares at me before turning his attention back towards the camp. “It’s them… Rosie’s boys… my boys… they are here. I can see them.” While he may never have met the boys in person, I do know that he has studied the one photo that Rosie has within an inch of his life and if he says that they are here then I believe him.”Then let’s get those boys out of there and end these motherfuckers!”
