Chapter 21
Brent’s POV
I shook my head as I hear moans of pleasure inside Alpha Jacob’s office.
He’s at it again? I groaned.
Alpha Jacob was smart, his war strategies are on top. The pack respected every rules he has come up with, and feared his merciless behavior towards wrongdoings. But, since his mate showed up, he started to get out of control and I don’t think he was aware of it.
What’s so hard on accepting a mate, anyway? It’s not like he can escape his fate, its not like being matched with Lucianna will even change so why do he kept on denying her?
Jacob could not control the bond at all, especially the urges and that was clear from how he fucked those bitches, yet he denies his wolf from wanting to mate. Not some plain sex.
Its morning and he hasn’t stopped since last night. How far can he go?
Damn his stamina.
I sat on the couch outside his office and sighed. I guess I will need to wait here for a while before I can work. The files and my tasks are inside his office, it’s easy to function with the Beta so Jacob decided that I will work with him in a room.
And now, it’s a trouble to wait here and waste time while he’s getting off his steam.
Lucianna suddenly popped in my head and I groaned upon thinking the hell she must be suffering in while Jacob was trying to reach
heaven.
Ugh..
I’m not the romantic type but I abhor violence either. Jacob might not hurting her directly but the effect of his cheating acts the same. I wonder how he can handle what he was doing with Lucianna when he was the one who hated breaking the rule or hurt innocent people.
Just how much can this mate bond change people?
Or was it Jacob’s shadow eye that changes him?
Damn it, I have a goal to uphold and I won’t be able to do all that when the Alpha was not function correctly.
I think I need to make a move.
With this thought in mind, I reach Harley’s mind portal.

Chapter 21
B
(32),
‘Hey, how’s the lamb?’ we decided calling Lucianna a ‘lamb’ but not because she was weak like Jacob said.
But she looked like one. Angelic face, she looked soft, and even if I know that she was a great female warrior of her pack, it doesn’t fit her smooth looks.
‘Man, I don’t think I could keep watching over her like this.’ Harley responded. I sighed, I can only imagine.
‘What is her state?’
‘She stopped crying for about three hours. I haven’t heard anything since.’
‘That is weird. Jake is still on it.’
‘Huh? But she stopped hours ago. Should I check her inside?’
I groaned. Jacob instructed Harley to stay out.
‘I don’t think that’s a good idea. Heard anything weird?’
‘None.’
‘Then stay outside. The pain must’ve numbed her.’ Fuck. Just thinking about it makes me cringe!
To be able to stop crying over a cheating mate on the second day? Isn’t that strength enough? Has Jake’s shadow eye malfunctioned or
something? Why can’t he see this side of her?
