Alpha's Regret After the Divorce by Christina novel Chapter 92

Chapter 92

Rocco’s POV:

The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension, every gaze fixed squarely on me, waiting for my next move. The silence felt almost tangible, pressing down on my chest like a heavy weight. My heart hammered fiercely against my ribs, while deep within, my wolf growled and strained, sensing the peril that surrounded us. Despite my best efforts to maintain composure, beads of sweat formed on my forehead, betraying the turmoil beneath.

My eyes locked onto the screen before me, where two women dangled precariously above a deadly abyss. Silver chains bit into their skin, glinting cruelly under the harsh light. Kim struggled violently against her restraints, tears streaming down her face as she sobbed and pleaded for mercy.

Yet it was Kira who held my attention most completely. She hung perfectly still, her complexion ghostly pale, her head bowed slightly as though she had already conceded to the inevitable. The quiet surrender in her posture sent a chill sliding down my spine. Why wasn’t she fighting back? Had she truly given up? Her silence was far more unsettling than Kim’s desperate cries. The fierce, unyielding woman I once knew would never have yielded so easily. I searched her face desperately for any spark of defiance, but all I found was a hollow acceptance that squeezed painfully at my chest.

“Don’t hesitate, Alpha Blackwood,” William hissed sharply beside me, his voice a low, hard whisper. “Choose Kim. She’s carrying your child.”

His words barely registered. My gaze remained fixed on Kira’s pale face, which seemed even more drained than the last time I saw her. That silent resignation twisted something raw and painful inside me.

“Three minutes left,” the masked figure announced with a tilt of their head, clearly savoring the moment. “Time is running out, Alpha. Make your choice.”

“Rocco!” Kim’s scream shattered the heavy silence, cutting through my thoughts like a knife. “Don’t forget your promise! You vowed to protect me and our baby!”

My jaw clenched tightly, teeth grinding together as the weight of her words settled in. Kim carried my heir, the future of my bloodline. But Kira… I searched her face again, desperate for any sign that she wanted me to save her. There was nothing—only that eerie, resigned calm.

Had she truly given up? On life? On me? The thought gnawed at me more than I cared to admit.

“Alpha, your decision?” The distorted voice dropped lower, more menacing now.

The pack held its collective breath. Even Vanessa’s sobs softened to silence as everyone waited, eyes locked on me. The pressure of their expectations pressed down like a physical force, threatening to crush me.
