“It’s about Aurora. And you… you’ll never get to see her again. You’ll never see her again!”

My voice was soft, yet chilling.

“What do you mean?” His face darkened instantly.

He thought I’d hidden Aurora somewhere.

I didn’t answer.

I stood by the door, my gaze fixed on the gift box, a mixture of emotions swirling within me.

I walked slowly to the coffee table and picked up the Princess dress from the box, my hands trembling, my eyes on the verge of shedding tears.

This dress was Aurora’s most wanted birthday, gift. Lucian had promised it to her.

But Willow wore it first.

Now, after Willow had wore it, he brought it back to Aurora.

What did he think Aurora was?

“Lucian, Aurora doesn’t want it anymore and she doesn’t need it anymore!”

I shouted, finally losing control.

I threw the dress and the gift box away, like some trash.

Aurora’s urn was in another room. I didn’t want her to see this “late” gift.

Lucian was too late to stop me.

The box hit the floor, the custom–made dress falling onto a still–lit cigarette butt.

A large hole burned into the fabric.

“Seren, have you had enough?” he roared, his eyes blazing with anger.

His brows furrowed, a storm about to come.

I ignored his anger.

“Get out,” I said coldly.

His face was terrifyingly cold and grim.

The tense silence was broken by his ringing phone. It was Ayla, again.

He stared at me, then answered the call.

“Ayla.” His tone was gentle when he said her name.

But his gaze remained icy, fixed on me.

Ayla’s voice was soft. “Did you pick Aurora up? Are you going to the playground to celebrate her birthday today?”

“No. Aurora isn’t here.”
