Alpha's Regret The Luna He Left Behind novel Chapter 15

After hanging up, Lucian said coldly, Seren, if you are so stubborn like this, you should never let Aurora call me again.

He turned and left without hesitation.

But as he reached the door, a loud thud echoed behind him.

He spun around to see me lying on the floor, my back to him.

Seren,he said, I warned you. Don’t use these tricks on me.

Lying on the cold floor, a chill ran through me. He thought I’d faked the faint to keep him here. In his eyes, I was a malicious woman, willing to do anything to get him.

He believed I’d used special tricks to sleep with him five years ago when he was about to claim Ayla as his mate. He thought it was me who forced Ayla to leave and that it was me who made Ayla chased away to another pack. He blamed me everything for Ayla’s suffering when she gave birth to Willow.

In short words, he thought it was all my fault.

Five years later, Ayla returned to the pack with Willow. But he believed I was still jealous of her, that I’d encouraged Aurora to fake her illness to win his attention.

I couldn’t explain what happened between Ayla and me five years ago.

But I’d tried, repeatedly, to tell him Aurora wasn’t faking anything; she was truly weak.

He never believed me.

I wanted to get up, to make him leave. But weakness spread through me. A wave of dizziness hit, and I slipped into

unconsciousness.

Outside the room, seeing me motionless, Lucian frowned.

He strode back and pulled me up from the floor.Seren, don’t think I won’t do anything to you just because Grandma’s on your side!

But before he could finish his cruel words, I fell back down.

His fury stopped abruptly. Instinctively, he reached out, catching me before I hit the floor.

In his arms, I was pale, my eyes closed tight.
