Alpha's Regret The Luna He Left Behind novel Chapter 17

Chapter 11

That night, I had a terrible dream. I was back on the day Aurora died.

Aurora’s condition worsened. Her high fever demanded immediate surgery. But the healer told me the Elixir for Aurora’s Pox was taken away so she had to wait for death.

My world crumbled. At that time, the only person I could think of was Lucian.

I kept calling him, hoping he could help Aurora get that only Elixir. If an Alpha couldn’t get that, who else can? However, Lucian answered none of my calls.

In the end, Aurora left this world.

When Aurora closed her eyes, her hand slipped from mine and my heart broke into pieces.

I held Aurora tightly, crying sadly, unwilling to accept the fact that my daughter was dead.

I called Aurora’s name over and over again, begging her not to leave me.

I kept rubbing her body, trying to keep it warm.

But no matter how hard I tried, Aurora’s body gradually became stiff and cold.

She died! My daughter, who was supposed to be loved and cherished by the whole pack as the Princess, died right

in front of me! I couldn’t believe it was true!

Lucian was awakened by my crying.

He had been taking care of Willow at the Pack’s infirmary these past few days and rarely had a good sleep.

And when he was on the verge of his sleep, Lucian was awakened by scream I made during my dream.

He opened his eyes with an unpleasant expression, furrowing his brows as he looked at me in his embrace and impatiently grabbed my arm. Seren, what is wrong with you?

Just as he was about to pull me away, he noticed my tearstreaked face.

Lucian suddenly came to a halt.

I cried in extreme sorrow.

I looked as if I had lost the most important person in the world.

I mumbled repeatedly, and in his eyes, I talked nonsense in sadness.

My voice was very low and unclear, and it was difficult for Lucian to hear what I said clearly.

But faintly, he could hear me saying don’t leaveand can’t be without you.

The chill in Lucian’s eyes subsided slightly. He suppressed his anger and raised his hand, gently patting my face.

Seren, wake up. Don’t cry.Lucian and I hadn’t had a peaceful talk for a very long time. So this time, his gentle voice sounded even a bit unnatural.

I couldn’t hear what he said either, and was still trapped in my nightmare.

Tears flowed out of my eyes, nonstop.

When Lucian saw this, a hint of disdain appeared in his eyes.
