Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 131

Chapter 131

Surprisingly, Damien’s club is nothing like I remember it. On the night of his opening, I could barely see the furniture, but right now? It’s all I see. Noah gasps, eyes wandering. “Luxurious,” she swoons.

“Welcome to Rivers,” a server approaches us. “My name is Tiger, and I’m at your service,” he says.

Noah snickers, “But can you be at my cervix?”

I roll my eyes at that, Noah loves to flirt with any and everyone she finds attractive, and I doubt she notices it. It’s a miracle she hasn’t flirted with Kingston yet, a damn good miracle. “We can sit ourselves, thanks,” I tell him, pulling Noah to a secluded corner in the VIP section.

“Pictures,” Noah says, giving me her phone the moment that we sit down. “Get my good side.”

“You have no bad side,” I tell her, snapping my first photo of her. She is obsessed with herself, and it always takes a hundred tries before we get the perfect picture so I’ve learned to take them quickly, as many as possible before she changes poses.

I’m taking pictures of Noah pretending to be caught off guard when Damien appears from behind me, catching me off guard. “D!” I gasp, jumping up from my seat to hug him. I haven’t seen Damien in a while, he does happen to text me once every few days, but I haven’t actually seen him since the club opening weeks ago.

“There’s my favourite girl,” he says, squeezing me. “What’s popping?”

“The usual,” I shrug. “This is my friend, Noah,” I tell him, sitting back down. “My Noah, this is Damien, he owns the club.”

Noah nods, sizing him up. “Noah Fren, I’m familiar,” Damien says, settling beside me.

“Have we met before, Mr club owner?” She asks, staring him down with purpose once again.

Damien nods, “Yes, we were once on a cruise together.” He says, his words sparking alarm in my mind. For a second, I fear they intimately know eachother, but then he speaks. “You were with my boy Leo.’

“Leo..Leo.” Noah repeats to herself, eyes widening when she finally remembers. “Oh, you mean pookie face, Leonard!”

“Yes,” Damien smiles. “You used to call eachother that.”

“How is he?”

“Amazing,” he says, “He is actually in town, had him here a few days ago.”

Noah nods with a smile, “Do me a favour, the next time he appears? Alert My Ellie so she can alert me, and I can run.”

Damien laughs, “Gotcha.”

“Umm, D?” I tap his shoulder, still concerned about the state of his once-upon-a-time hotshot club. People were flying in from other packs to visit this place, he was doing so great the last time I heard. That time being two weeks ago, after I made a reservation here for Lexie and her friends for her sister’s birthday. “Why is the bar…”

“Oh, I’m working on it.” He blurts out, his words unconvincing. “We’re having a hard time retaining customers, but you should seen it last night, it was packed.”

My head tilts, studying him. Could Kingston have been right about him failing at this too? “Damien.”
