Chapter 175
Angry, he swats my hand away. “I’m going to grow, big!” He announces. “Sister Hannah said I’m already taller than last week.”
“Okay,” I nod. “But you can’t marry someone’s wife.’
The boy stares at me with confusion, “I’m not.” He says with a slight shake of his head. “I’m marrying Luna Aeliana.”
“Luna Aeliana is my wife,” I explain, my words shocking him, like he didn’t notice before now. “You can’t marry her. I already married her.”
“No,” he pouts, scooting back until he’s against her chest. “I’m going to marry her. She likes trains, and I have a train, but you don’t.” He snaps, “She’s my Luna.”
“My mate,” I shoot back.
Aeliana gasps, “Kingston.”
“Yes, my wife?” I smile, unsure why I’m antagonising the boy. He’s behaving, I should leave him alone, but even as a joke, I can’t help claiming my mate in front of other males, even if the male is likely no older than seven.
Calen growls, the sound strangled and forced. “Alpha Kingston, I’ll bite you.” He warns, baring his teeth at me.
I almost laugh, but I’m forced to keep a straight face. I playfully knock him on the forehead, and he winces. ” Yeah? What for?”
“Trying to steal my Luna,” he huffs, arms crossed over his chest in outrage.
Now I really do laugh, the kid is adorable, his confidence unmatched, he’s the Alpha of the litter. “Let’s be nice, Calen.”
“She’s mine,” he declares. “You’ll need to find another wife, one who won’t get arrested for marrying you.”
“No, I like Luna Aeliana, and I’ll marry her.” He pouts, “She’s going to marry me because I’m adorable, and I share my sweets.’
“No, she belongs to me.” I tell him, “She likes me, the moon goddess gave her to me.”
“Can you stop, he’s just a child.” Aeliana gasps, “Do you really have nothing better to do with your day than claim me in front of a child?”
“He’s trying to marry you.”
Her head tilts, “He’s six.”
“That little-f.u.c.k.e.r knows exactly what-”
“Fucker!” Calen giggles, putting his hands over his mouth. “You cussed. You’re in trouble.”
“See,” I sigh, I didn’t expect the boy to catch on so fast. Hell, I didn’t know he could read that well, “He knows.”
“I’ll tell on you to your mom,” he grumbles.
“And I’ll tell on you to the goddess for trying to steal the Luna that she blessed me with.”
“Alpha Kingston,” one of the volunteers calls. “Beta is asking for you.”

“I have to go, but this war is not finished, Calen,” I warn. “We shall duel over her next time.”
Calen’s face lights up, “With swords?”
“Yes, better start practising.”
Ge nods, “I will.”
“See at home, Siren.”
“Her name is Luna Aeliana,” Calen growls.
“Oh,” I nod. “My apologies, see you at home, Luna Aeliana,” I say, pushing the boy’s head aside so I can kiss her. He growls for all of twenty seconds.
Pulling away, Aeliana laughs, “See you.”
I try to ruffle Calen’s hair, but he moves back. “You’re not coming to our wedding.”
“Why am I not invited?”
“Because you kissed her.”
Laughter rumbles in my chest. “She’s my wife, kid.”
“Just for the now.” He warns. “I will still marry her because I will win our duel, just wait.” He rises, balancing on Aeliana’s thighs to stand. “Alex, bring my horse!” He screams, running towards his friends who are playing knights.
Aeliana laughs, her eyes shining with joy. “What a little shit, he better not win the duel.” I joke, half serious. “The kid thinks he owns the world.”
“Go and practice,” she smiles. “I will most definitely have to root for Calen, he gave me his favourite train.”
