Chapter 216
DAMIEN
Aeliana’s friends are staring at me weirdly, I just asked a simple question. Noah points over my shoulder. “That’s why.”
I turn slowly, my eyes landing on Aeliana kissing some guy in the middle of the dance floor.
“Fuck no!” I scream, jumping over the booths to get to the dance floor. I’ve never moved this fast in my life, not even when my son was born.
I pull the man away from her, the idiot stares at me, annoyed. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” He snaps. I don’t think twice, I do the brotherly thing and break his nose, my fist meeting his face before he can fully grasp what’s happening. “Shit!” He groans, holding on to his nose.
“Do you have any idea the hit you just put on your head?” I groan, kicking him between the legs this time. He appears to have been thinking with his dick, and not his head when he was kissing her.
He groans, tumbling over, but someone catches him, holding him steady against their chest. “What is wrong with you man?” He winces, “Fuck, is that your girl or something?”
“Aeliana,” I turn to my side, finding her gone from the mess she just created. If Kingston finds out about this, I’m dead for allowing it in my club.
Fuck, I ought to break his nose a second time.
“That’s our Luna, bro.” His friend says. “You kissed Alpha Kingston’s mate.”
His eyes widen, “Oh, shit. I didn’t know, she-she-” he begins to stutter, turning pale now. How is it that someone lives in Mooncrest and is unaware of who their Luna is? I can tell he is one of us, he smells like pack. “You will leave from here,” I order. “And never speak of this, for your own safety. Do you understand?”
He nods, “Yes, yes.” He swallows, blood trickling down his shirt in what I can only describe as a downpour. “I’m sorry.”
I walk away from him, looking for Aeliana again. No one here will say anything about the kiss. Not many people paid attention, and half the crowd is drunk. Those who happen to have seen will forget they saw anything because their contracts prohibit them from endangering other clients’ reputations. However, I’ll have my team speak to each and every one if necessary, this incident needs to stay buried.
I find Aeliana in her booth again, nursing a cocktail while Audrey watches anxiously. “Oh, Hi D.” She grins, leaning back in her seat as if nothing happened.
I slide in next to the other girl, whom I only met tonight and her name is already gone from memory. “Thanks,” I tell her, noting that she makes enough space for me. “Aeliana, what the hell is going on with you? Have you lost your mind?”
She pauses, eyes flickering between Noah and me, like she’s trying to figure out what it was that she did wrong. You kissed him.”
“I did?” She frowns, the frown turning upside down instantly.
Oh no.
She really has lost her mind, she doesn’t seem to understand the degree of damage she just caused, and she had to

go and do it under my roof. “Kingston is going to freak when he finds out you did this,” I grunt, taking her drink from her. I need it more, but it doesn’t do nearly enough to calm my nerves. I just don’t understand why she would kiss another man, that too at Rivers. “He is going to kill us both, and that idiot whose lips you were kissing.” I snarl, an idiot who doesn’t know his place and will die young thanks to his dick.
Aeliana shakes her head, “I didn’t want to do it. I hated it.”
“You kissed two men, my Aeliana,” Noah says, shaking her head in disbelief.
I gasp, “Tw-tw-two?” I stutter. “Two men?” I ask, showing them two fingers. “Why? What possessed you to go and do such a very dumb thing?”
“Hey,” Noah snaps. “Do not call her dumb.”
“I will when she’s acting it,” I counter, my eyes flickering back to Aeliana. “Why did you do it?”
She shrugs, “I wanted to prove that I too can kiss someone else.”
“What?”
“He kissed her,” she swallows. “Kingston kissed Audrey and carried her away like a knight in shining armour.”
I pause, “Are you sure?”
“We saw it,” the woman beside me says softly, her voice almost trembling.
“I saw it too,” Noah glares, like she’s staring at Kingston. “I can’t believe he did that to her, your brother is a real asshole.” She shakes her head. “Why is he always stringing my Ellie along if he isn’t ready to move on from blondie?”
Kingston, move on, from Audrey?
That doesn’t sound right, he was over that woman the second the matebond flickered with Aeliana. He did play hard to get, but he’s been over the woman for years. “No, you’re wrong.” I laugh, “It’s probably a misunderstanding, King isn’t anywhere close to here.” I tell them, knowing those are indeed common between Aeliana and King.
Aeliana slowly shakes her head, “The only misunderstanding here is on my end, I’m the idiot.” She smiles, “I’m the one who believed he would love me more, but he keeps crawling back to her, and you know what? All I wanted was a little honesty just a—”
“Oh God, you’ve got it all wrong, he wasn’t-”
“He came for her, Damien,” she interrupts. “I told him I wasn’t coming to River’s, I was supposed to be at Blue Tides, so he came here knowing that fact, and he made a fool out of me by kissing her in front of everyone.” She says, her hand shaking.
I reach for my phone, “Hold on.” I say, pulling up my security cameras. I have access to the cameras from my phone, and I’m sure they mistook him for someone else because Kingston is at a charity thing tonight, I know because he asked me to join him and Rowan yesterday,
The moment I see the camera footage from the door dating back to ten, then twenty, then thirty minutes ago, my jaw drops. Kingston walks through the doors, and I follow his profile all the way to Audrey’s table where he does, in fact, kiss her.
“It’s not what it looks like,” I shake my head. I don’t know what happened, but I do know that my brother would never jeopardise his relationship with Aeliana, she means everything to him. He gets sick to his stomach when

she refuses to look at him. That is not a man who would cheat on her, he isn’t the type to. “There’s more to this, let me check another angle.”
Noah grabs my phone and sets it on the table screen down. “You’re such a man, Damien.” She says with an eyeroll. “And to think I liked you with your stupid smile, and perfect humour. Ugh, I hate being wrong.” She snarls, once again rolling her eyes at me.
