“In case you’ve all forgotten, this is my pack.” I remind them, “Aeliana is my Luna, and my Luna is not hurting anyone. She is getting the help she needs, had you all stepped up back then, she wouldn’t need to speak to a therapist, but you all failed.”

“Are you blaming us?” Elder Xander gasps.

I nod, “I am blaming every adult at the time. You let your Luna get abused and taunted for something that wasn’t her fault.” I tell them, “She might not have been Luna back then, but she was a member of this pack, she was what you all swore to protect when you took your oaths for your roles, and you failed her.”

“Alpha Kingston, I understand your anger, but blaming us repeatedly isn't helping anything.” Elder Winston argues. “We are sorry, and regret our actions in the past.”

“Yes, Alpha.” Gamma Cole seconds, “It was a really rough time for us back then, but—”

“What?” I snap.

“Luna Aeliana’s mental…” he trails off, feeling the heat of my gaze. “Apologies, let me rephrase this. You've been particularly busy with Luna Aeliana lately that you have neglected the pack.”

“I what?” I snicker.

“You don’t know what’s happening in the pack, Alpha Kingston.” Gamma Raymond says.

My gaze flickers to him, “And what according to you happens in my pack?” I ask, watching him closely. I’m well informed of what goes on and about in this pack. “Choose your incident carefully, or I’m going to—”

“No threats.” My Father warns. “Gamma Raymond is right, you’ve been occupied with Aeliana, and you missed the attack in the southeast, one large apartment complex caught fire.”

“What?” I frown. “Am I supposed to keep track of every fire in the pack? Don’t we have people in charge of that? Or would you prefer I join the fire department to appease you and prove my awareness?”

Elder Winston clears his throat, speaking only when he has my attention. “It wasn’t a natural…the fire was started by Alpha Fenwick, and his people, two others were targeted, but it was stopped before it escalated.”

“He seems to be retaliating,” Gamma Cole says, sounding a little too excited. “And not to dwell on the past, but I said this would happen.”
