Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 361

“Yeah,” Seraphine says, her voice quiet. “I felt my pup kick for the first time that morning, and it may have been flutters, but this is my first pup, so I’m—I was excited.” I correct myself. “I met my sister on my way downstairs to tell Audrey about it, so I asked Ellie to feel.”

“Thats not—”

“You had your chance, Luna,” Elder Xander hushes me. “Let her speak.”

“She seemed to be in a bad mood,” Aeliana continues. “She said she hated my child, and that she hated me,” she tells them, her voice breaking like that did something to stir her. “But my sister doesn’t hate anyone, I know she was just upset, and so I tried to convince her she would change how she felt once she felt the pup because it was innocent, unlike its father...” she trails off, “And maybe me, because I did something unforgivable to her.”

“What was that?” Elder Xander asks, his eyes lifting to mine.

“I lied about not knowing where she was when we had gone together to the party where Brandon had preyed on her.”

Elder Campbell nods, “So you’d say she’s resentful?”

“Rightfully so,” Sera sighs. “Any person would be, but I apologised for my mistake, I was just a child back then, and I’ve been trying to make up for it, but she doesn't want us to be close again, I can't accept that.” Her voice breaks, “She’s my sister, I want us to be close.”

“Can we go back to the topic at hand?” Kingston growls.

“How do you feel about what she did?” Elder Xander asks Seraphine. I wait for her to throw me under the bus, to fight my way through innocence, but she doesn't.

“I don’t blame her for pushing me,” she says with a heavy sigh.

My hand twitches. “I didn’t push her!” I snap.

“Aeliana was blinded by her anger towards me, and my husband and this is our penance, I accept it.” She says. “She was hurt, so she pushed me, but I saw the regret in her eyes, it was an accident.”

“Even though she killed your baby and—”

“She didn’t kill it,” Sera says, her tone bored. “It was an accident.”

“She pushed you,” Elder Xander insists, trying to get a rise out of both Seraphine and me. “We saw the footage.”

“Her actions were wrong, but I forgive her.” She says, like she’s in a position to forgive me, like she didn't betray me. “My sister is a good person, she has forgiven me before, so I owe her this. And I don’t understand why you have this meeting. I didn’t make any complaints.”

“We can’t ignore this,” Gamma Cole says. “What she did is not something that someone of sound mind would do.”

“I forgive her,” Seraphine sighs again, this time her words are accompanied by mild moaning. “And I hope she can forgive herself, and get the help that she needs. That incident changed her, she wasn’t like this before.”

“Thank you for your time Mrs Rollins,” Elder Campbell says. “We wish you a speedy recovery.” He says, sliding the phone towards Audrey again.

“Now what?” Luna Estelle sighs, nervously tapping the table.

“We’ve heard from Luna Aeliana,” Elder Campbell says. “The victim, the evidence, let’s hear from the council.” He motions towards us all. “What do you think is best?”

“I’m sorry Alpha,” Gamma Dorian says, one of Kingston’s Gammas. “But given the evidence, we can’t in good faith let Luna Aeliana carry on being Luna. She’s not emotionally stable for this, the way she looked at Seraphine.”
