“She’s angry at me,” I frown. They can’t compare their situation to mine. I had no choice but to let Aelianago go for her own good, but they lied to their third. They disregarded her bond and chose to push her away so they could keep each other, and now that she’s gone, they want to keep chasing the poor girl. “And she does want to see me. Just not in there, she’ll see me when she’s home.”

“How on earth will you bring her back?” Danielle frowns.

“You need the doctor's written approval, or the council will chew you up,” Rowan adds.

“For fucks sake, she’s been gone for what? Two weeks now?” I hiss. “I gave it time like you all suggested, and I don’t care for their approval, Rowan.” I glare. “That place is supposed to get safe for her. I don’t have to worry about anyone aggravating her or her hurting herself because she’s been watched around the clock, and working on that, but now she’s getting harmed?”
