Alpha’s Rue: His Shunned Luna (Athena Enchanted) novel Chapter 413

“Great.” She looks away, still pouting. “Don’t do it again,” she warns. “I faint a lot.”

I nod.

The whole of Riley’s world pissed me off. I did try on multiple accounts to ask for it to be Aeliana’s world, but she would cry and stop talking to me for days until I gave up and learned to play by the rules. The person who inspired Riley’s world was Audrey. She wanted someone who got more attention and was much more special than her, and that’s how supermodel, actress Riley Vanderbilt was born.

“We can go home if you’re feeling alright.”

“I am,” she instantly nods. “I feel great.” She says, her lips pulling into a wide smile. “I need a bubble bath.”

“What else?” I ask, watching her with intrigue. She doesn’t even notice, she’s too busy smiling at thoughts of what it is that she wants. “Hmm?” I probe.

“A pedicure,” she says, looking down at her toes. They’re fine, painted, just like she often keeps them. “And my diamond.” She gasps, her eyes lifting to mine.

“Your diamond?” I frown.

“Yeah,” she nods. “The maid said she would get it made into a necklace as I asked her to in the morning.”

Oh. Her wedding ring.

That’s the diamond she keeps talking about, Evelyn must have it. I’ve tried to get in contact with her, but she didn’t answer her phone. I hope to reach her before she gets another job. She is perfect for the in-house nurses position. “Evelyn,” I almost laugh. “She’s your nurse.”

“Oh, why didn’t she just say that?” She frowns, sliding off the bed.

“Let me help you.” I quickly rush to her aid, helping her put her shoes on.

“I want new shoes,” she grumbles. “These are uncomfortable.”

“Probably because they’re inside shoes.”

“Touché,” she sighs.

She’s touching her head when I stand up straight again, her fingers disappearing under the strands. “Are you okay?”

“Hmm?” She pauses.

“You’re touching your head,” I say, pointing out the obvious.

“Yeah, so?” Her face furrows. “It is my head, is it not?” She snaps, dropping her hand in a fit. “Christ, what is with you, driver?”

“I’ll get you a pink diamond then.”

“Of course you will, or I’ll get it myself and have you pay still.” She says, flipping her hair over her shoulder. “What are you waiting for?” She snaps her fingers. “Chop chop.”

I follow her, we pass by the reception, but I barely get to have a word with the doctor before her impatience carries her out the door, and I have to follow her. “Black one.” I point her to my car, clicking it open.

“Lovely,” she whispers. “So I know how to drive?”

“No,” I instantly lie, the lie too smooth. “That’s why you have me.

“I can drive,” she snickers. “Riley Vanderbilt can do anything.” She confidently says, getting into the backseat of my car. “I can’t trust you, driver boy.”

“It’s honey boy.” I softly correct her, having missed my pet name, and I won’t be hearing it anytime soon.

“What?” She frowns.

“Nothing.” I shake my head. Sliding in the back when I see Rowan and Danielle coming. Aeliana gasps when I join her.

“What are you doing?” Her eyes widen, “The steering wheel is over there…”
