“Dungeon?” I frown.

The last place I expect to find Kingston is in Audrey’s bedroom, but that’s exactly where he is. I’m upset, I’m about to crack his skull for being in here while I was waiting in my room. “Why are you sending her to the dungeon?” I ask, watching Seraphine and Rowan walk out of the room.

Kingston runs a hand over his face. “He confessed to some disturbing things.”

“What things?”

“Things that she and Audrey have done.”

That’s not exactly news to me, but I’m curious as to what chaos they’ve been up to, a little more than I should be considering the person who was watching me is yet to be apprehended. “What did they do

now?”

“Audrey did some terrible things to you,” he says, his voice low and troubled.

I frown.

This feels like a topic from days ago, one that I would like buried with all the fucks I had to give where Audrey is concerned. “And how is this new?”

“The man watching you,” he says, watching my face before he finishes his sentence. “Um, she sent him.”

My heart nearly drops out my ass just like it did when Maddox confirmed Kingston saw someone in my room. I was beginning to think I was hallucinating, up until I went up for my coat tonight. We were so close, so face to face that I almost shit myself from shock. “What did you say?”

“She hired Brandon’s lookalike cousin to scare you.”

I gasp.

Of all the wicked things that she has ever done, this is the lowest of the low. Using my trauma to get back at me for Kingston kicking her out is a line not even a psychopath would cross. “What the hell is wrong with her?” I choke out.

“Plenty,” Kingston sighs. “According to Seraphine, she also hired Brandon to sexually assault you.”

The lump in my throat forms rapidly, almost as fast as the clouding in my brain. I blink, thinking I may have misheard him, but he doesn’t repeat himself, which proves I did hear him right, because he hates that sentence. He flinches when he says it. “Why?” My voice cracks. This is fucked up, I would have never in a million years thought that incident was her doing. I blamed her solely because they dragged me to that party, but turns out it was all part of the plan. How does one even think of such, and what had I done to warrant such a vile plot against me? “What did I ever do to them?”
