His eyes light up at the mention of a new train. “Maybe, but they’re for babies, Luna.”

“I have a baby you can give your trains to,” I say with a smile. “Can you give them to him?”

His nose scrunches up, “What baby?” He frowns. “Timothy?” He frowns, proceeding to name every baby he is familiar with. Most of which are from the foundation.

“I have a baby,” I tell him. “A new baby.”

“Where?”

“In my tummy.”

“A real one?” He frowns, his head tilting. “How’d it get there, did you eat her?” He gasps, genuinely alarmed at the possibility. “Luna Aeliana, how could you? The baby isn’t that annoying. You don’t have to eat her.”

Luna Bridget laughs in the background. “She didn’t eat a baby, K. The baby is in her belly because it’s safe there.”

He frowns, “Can I be in your belly with the baby?”

“That’s not how it works sweetheart, but you can sit in my lap with the baby soon.” I tell him, “Would you like that?”

He nods, “That’s your baby?”

I nod, and his face falls. “And you’re my baby too.” I smile, “Both of you are my babies.” I tell him, “And when the baby is born, you’ll get to teach him all your cool tricks because nobody is cooler than you, Calen.”

“That’s not true.” He pouts, “Ry is cool.”

“Well, you’re the coolest to me,” I say with a soft smile. “Even cooler than Alpha Kingston.”

That gets him to laugh. “He’s boring.” He laughs.

“Exactly, which is why the new baby will need you in his life. You’ll teach him how to be cool, huh?”

He nods. “Good boy. See this is why you’re my favourite boy in the whole world.”
