“Falling in love,” Rowan says, pointing me in Maddox’s direction. He’s by the chocolate fountain with Evelyn, listening attentively to whatever she’s saying to him, and his other doctor friends.

“Cute,” I pout, sliding into Kingston’s lap. “Did you tell him?”

“Nope”

“Tell him what?” Rowan pauses mid-sip.

“You didn’t tell Rowan either?” I frown. I thought he’d have gotten it out of the way by now.

“I’ll tell him first thing tomorrow,” King says, holding me closer. “I’ve been busy.”

“We were together,” Rowan reminds him. “What haven’t you told us? Did you guys find out the pups’ gender?”

“Oh no,” I shake my head. “We decided that we’re waiting until delivery.”

He nods, “Nice. Noah wants to know. I think she gets to find out at her next appointment.”

“Are you invited?”

“Not directly,” he sighs, swirling his glass. “I mean she asked Dani to come, and then stopped talking after Danielle agreed.”

I can’t help but laugh at his concern. “You’re obviously included, right honey?”

Kingston hums in response and kisses my cheek. “So what is it that you didn’t tell me?”

“Maddox is going to be a daddy,” he says. “But you can’t tell him yet.”

Rowan’s eyes widen, “He? Him?” He frowns, his eyes flickering between Kingston and Maddox, who now somehow has his arm around Evelyn’s waist. “Wow, that was very quick.” He gasps low. “Have they been seeing each other long? I thought-”

“Not her,” Kingston snorts out a laugh.

Again, Rowan gasps. “Somebody else?” He almost whispers.

“Yep,” I nod. He doesn’t ask who, but I can see him pondering, trying to narrow it down because he obviously knows every woman Maddox sleeps with. He catches on faster than I expected, “No!” He screams..

“Yes,” I whisper.

“Seriously?” His face furrows, “Of all his one-night stands he could’ve knocked up, he goes and knocks up that crazy bitch? This is a problem.”

“Not yours,” I tell him. Somehow, these two are reacting worse than I think Maddox himself would. “Yours is over there dancing with another man.” I frown, looking at Noah. She seems to be in a very friendly mood, she went from dancing with Danielle to dancing with some man I don’t recognise. My eyes wander around the room until I find Danielle. “And the other is socialising.”

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Rowan frowns.
