The lift dinged, and I came down from my high. Bloody Blake! I cursed under my breath and grabbed my bags. Blake chuckled behind me again, which I ignored, and walked to the apartment door. I put my bags in front of the door and turned to look at Taylor’s apartment. Her car was in the carpark next to Rocky’s. Chris must have gone home.

I was trying to muster up the courage to go see her. My anxiety levels were so high I was shaking. Blake opened the apartment door and moved all the bags inside before coming and standing next to me.

“F**k it!” I blurted and walked over to knock on Taylor’s door.

I was so nervous. What was she going to say?!

Two minutes later, Rocky opened the door.

“Hey! You two are back. I see you are in one piece. How was your trip?” He asked with a big smile on his face.

I heard footsteps behind him, and Taylor came running out of her room in her overalls. She was holding her paint tray.

“You’re back bitch!!!!!! Yay!!” She screamed and ran toward me.

Both Taylor and Rocky’s jaws dropped. Taylor looked up at my face and then back to my hand. Her eyes were the size of saucers.

“What the hell is that?!” Rocky finally said. He blinked a few times, looking at my hand. Then, I could see realization hit him like a brick wall.

He looked over my shoulder towards Blake. “Oh my god?!”

Taylor looked up at Rocky and followed his gaze. Her eyes widened even more once she, too, figured it out.

“No! NO! You can not be serious, Rosy!” she shrieked and grabbed my hand, pulling it closer to her so she could see better.
