Hendrick narrowed his eyes slightly. “You really think Cecelia just took her out to kill a few zombies last night, and she suddenly had some kind of awakening?”
Regina thought for a moment. “The way Amber killed Zera today was still pretty clumsy. So it probably really was a change that happened overnight.”
Timothy nodded in agreement and looked at Hendrick. “Hendrick, since Cecelia has already decided to go her own way, there’s no need to keep wasting your curiosity on them.”
“I know.”
Hendrick let out a sigh. “I’ll go check and sort out the weapons.”
Timothy nodded.
Matthew then carried a box of instant meals and canned food toward the house where Cecelia and the others were staying.
Not far away, Jayson stood there watching Matthew walk off with the box. He rubbed his chin. Judging from the Jerome incident, it looked like Cecelia’s and Timothy’s sides had split up.
For them, that was great news.
Randy stared straight at the box in Matthew’s hands. He had already seen what was inside earlier and couldn’t help swallowing. “Jayson, their team really brought a lot of supplies. How about we borrow some?”
They had gone to Merriton in the first place to restock.
But not only did they fail to get supplies, but they also lost so many teammates.
Now they were stuck digging up potatoes and sweet potatoes from the town’s fields and roasting them over a fire.
That stuff got old fast. He really wanted something different.
Jayson glanced at him. “Sure. Aren’t you acquainted with Timothy? Go ask him. He’ll probably give you
some,”
Randy nodded and grinned. “That’s exactly what I was thinking!”
Then he quickly ran toward Timothy’s house.
Jayson ignored him. As he evaluated Timothy’s team’s strength, his gaze shifted to Hendrick walking
toward the Hummer.
His
eyes narrowed. The wind lifted Hendrick’s jacket slightly, revealing something strapped to his waist.
A real gun?!
Jayson stiffened in shock.

His gaze darkened as he stared at Hendrick’s lower back.
Even in the apocalypse, getting weapons like that wasn’t easy.
Looks like the best move was to find a way to merge into Timothy’s team.
At the very least, it would boost their overall combat power.
If they ran into another powerful mutated zombie like before, they wouldn’t suffer such heavy losses. again.
But soon he looked away.
Because Hendrick had turned around.
‘Hm?”
Hendrick sensed the strong gaze behind him.
He turned and immediately spotted Jayson, who had his back turned.
Hendrick raised a brow and gave a faint, cold laugh.
He pulled the pistol from his waist.
No surprise there. The guy clearly noticed it.
Even in the apocalypse, teams competed with each other..
Something as rare as a gun–he hadn’t bothered hiding it.
Mainly because it showed their team’s strength and served as a warning to anyone with bad intentions.
Of course, there would always be idiots who didn’t mind walking straight into a gun barrel.
‘Cecelia! Ivy!”
Cecelia had just stepped into the room and was about to lie down on the bed. She planned to enter her space and deal with the level 3 crystal she got while saving Jerome earlier.
After the last upgrade–when the crystal expanded the small pool and increased the amount of fluid–her training speed had improved too.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to kill that level 3 mutated zombie so cleanly.
With her current control and awareness of her body, she was already stronger than she’d expected.
The fluid’s effect was even more powerful than she’d imagined. If the level 8 crystal upgraded the small pool again, it would probably expand it further. That meant every time she exhausted herself and reabsorbed the fluid, she’d grow stronger.
