Chapter 115 Grass and Soil
“Yeah. We’ll look for one after we get into Merriton.”
Cecelia thought about her blank space again and couldn’t help sighing in frustration.
Why couldn’t it be a storage space?
But after thinking about it, the space she had now was already pretty good.
You had to be satisfied with what you had.

If it wasn’t a storage space, so be it. Who knew–maybe their luck would be good and they’d run into someone with a spatial ability soon.
“Cece, Amber, and Jerome, let’s eat first,” Ivy said, taking out instant meals. “After that we can rest a bit and see if there are any supplies nearby we can collect.”
But looking around the house and seeing only the few of them there, she couldn’t help adding, “It feels a little quiet.
Cecelia glanced at her. “There are a few zombies howling in the house next door. Doesn’t seem that quiet to me. Honestly, it kind of whets the appetite.”
“Cecc…”
Ivy sighed helplessly. “You know that’s not what I meant.”
“Yeah. You’re just not used to it yet. You still feel a little reluctant, but dragging it out will only make it worse. Ivy, you should face reality. From now on, the only person you can rely on is me. Unless you find me a brother–in–law–and he gets my approval–I’m not handing you over to anyone.”
Where did that even come from?
Ivy couldn’t help laughing, half amused and half helpless. She dropped the topic about Timothy’s team.
After they finished eating, it was still only around noon.
Amber said she wanted to go out and hunt some zombies to practice, Ivy went with her.
Jerome stayed on the couch in the living room. His gaze drifted toward Cecelia’s room.
Not a single sound came from inside.
He felt a little puzzled.
From the past few hours, he had already figured out that Cecelia had a lot going on in her head.
Even when she went to sleep, her thoughts would keep running for a while first.
But this time, not long after she went into her room after eating, her inner voice completely disappeared.

“What is she doing?”
Curious, Jerome slowly stood up and walked toward the room.

Cecelia had already entered her blank space.
Her small pool of deep blue fluid was already full.
Thinking back to what happened the last time she threw a level 1 crystal into it, she figured she should probably drain most of the fluid first.
So for a while, she pushed herself through another round of intense training.
After draining most of the fluid, she finally tossed the level 3 crystal she had brought back while saving Jerome into the pool.
The next second-
She saw small white tendrils extend from the bottom of the pool. They looked like tiny feathers.
Thin and delicate.
Like little octopus tentacles, they latched onto the level 3 crystal.
Then the energy inside the crystal began flowing through them. The white tendrils turned red as they absorbed the energy.
They pulled harder and harder.
The crystal slowly lost its color.
Streams of deep blue fluid kept bubbling up from where the tendrils were.
Glug. Glug.
At a speed visible to the naked eye, the small pool filled up.
The fluid began spilling over the edge.
Cecelia instinctively stood up and stepped back, trying to avoid it.
But the fluid spread faster and faster.
When she turned around, every inch of ground she could see was already covered in deep blue fluid.
It was like standing in the middle of an ocean.
The liquid beneath her feet was cool and smooth. For the first time, the endless white space was dyed with a second color.
More importantly, the fluid kept spreading, showing no sign of stopping.

Cecelia couldn’t help laughing helplessly as she looked at the liquid around her feet. “Last time the upgrade just expanded the pool. I fed you a level 3 crystal this time. Don’t tell me you’re planning to expand this whole area. That would make the pool ridiculously big…
Would that mean that every time she entered the space in the future, she could just step on the fluid and absorb it instantly?
But the next second, something felt wrong.
Why did the ground under her feet feel itchy?
She looked down. The blue fluid was breaking down.
The flowing liquid changed form, changed color, and then slowly decomposed into … soil?
Cecelia blinked, unsure, and kept staring.
Sure enough, a few seconds later-
The blue fluid under her feet had completely turned into soft black soil.
She stomped on it a few times. It definitely felt like dirt.
Not only that-
The air now carried the rich, unmistakable scent of soil.
