Chapter 165 Chase and Escape
Oliver didn’t hesitate. He chased after Cecelia.
Harvey’s face changed. He knew Cecelia was trying to take him down first.
No way he would let that happen!
He quickly backed into the house.
Bang! He slammed the door shut.
Then he rushed out the back door, grabbed a terrified lackey, and shouted, “Go! Release that thing!”
The lackey froze. “B–but, didn’t you say that thing is hard to control?”
“If I can control Oliver, I can control that! Let it out! I need it to kill this woman!”
The lackey trembled and stumbled away, too scared to say no.
Harvey’s breathing was heavy and fast. He didn’t expect that woman to be this strong.
No wonder his brother died.
But Oliver was holding her back right now.
It wouldn’t be that easy for her to hurt him!
Bang!
Cecelia kicked the iron door open.
A deep footprint dent appeared on the door.
Oliver caught up. He grabbed her shoulder. His grip was so strong it crushed her shoulder bone!
The intense pain instantly changed her expression.
Cold sweat slid down her forehead.
Cecelia spun around and slammed her elbow into his chin!
The hit was so strong she could hear the crack of his jawbone, and his jaw shifted out of place.
His face was already covered in blood.
Now he looked even worse.
But if she didn’t go all out, she’d be the one in trouble.
Cecelia didn’t hold back.
She struck his fragile neck next.
Oliver instinctively raised his hand to block, which made him release her shoulder.

She broke free. Enduring the pain of her crushed shoulder bone, she climbed out a window on the other side of the house.
Just in time to see Harvey running into another alley.
She took a deep breath.
Then she glanced back at Oliver, who was standing frozen inside the house.
Cecelia quickly entered her space.
One second was enough for her to absorb the fluid in the pool to heal her injuries.
But this time, the situation was worse than she expected.
The liquid hadn’t fully refilled since the last time she used it!
She had no choice but to dump all the hundreds of rat crystals she’d collected into the pool.
Clatter!
The crystals dropped into the pool like marbles.
Ginger watched without blinking.
Soon, the cobalt fluid started rising.
Cecelia jumped in, almost burying herself in it.
After a moment, once the pain was manageable, she scrambled out and popped back into reality.
The moment she came back–Bang!
A wall just six feet away exploded as Oliver punched right through it.
His fist was covered in blood and full of killing intent.
If that punch had hit her, the cobalt fluid in her space wouldn’t have been enough to fix her!
Her eyes turned cold. She rubbed her shoulder, which no longer hurt and was mostly healed.
She had to kill Harvey first!
Once Harvey died, the people under his control would slowly snap out of it.
“Cecelia?!”
A familiar voice came from the side.
She turned and saw Hendrick jumping down from the roof of a nearby one–story house and running
toward her.
At the same time, Oliver, with that iron–like body, smashed through the wall and rushed out.
He came face–to–face with Hendrick.

“What else? Harvey’s controlling him! Ignore him for now! We need to find Harvey!” She pointed in the direction Harvey ran.
Hendrick immediately understood. He picked her up and started running!
“Wait! I didn’t say carry me! I said you go after him!”
“Too late. Didn’t you say to ignore the burly guy? Then we should move and get away first.”
Cecelia was speechless.
She felt like she was going to puke from Hendrick’s shoulder digging into her stomach, but she felt a bit better seeing Oliver get left in the dust.
Soon, they caught up with Harvey.
Mainly because Harvey had stopped running.
He stood in front of a house and gave them a strange smile. “You think you two can kill me?”
Hendrick’s eyes turned sharp. He immediately sent two wind blades flying at him.
They were incredibly fast.
Harvey tried to dodge on instinct, but he was too slow.
