In Sanctum, Eastern District, as soon as they entered, Cecelia noticed that before reaching the district itself. there was a quarantine zone.
This zone stretched for about three hundred feet.
A massive iron mesh wall completely separated the Eastern District from the entrance.
Looking through the mesh, they still had to walk several hundred more feet before seeing any buildings.
Draven told her. “This part of Sanctum, the Eastern District, is the old city. The location is kind of special. When they started planning the Western District about ten years ago, they built this quarantine zone.”
“What for?”
“No idea. All I know is that as someone from the Eastern District, I saw this zone fully completed about two or three years ago. When the outbreak hit, the infection spread insanely fast here. In just a few days, almost two–thirds of the population was wiped out. The rest tried to run, but the military wouldn’t let us. They set up checkpoints at Sanctum’s entrance and forced everyone to move to the Western District, saying they were afraid we’d carry the virus out…”
At that point, Draven couldn’t help but curse. “And in the end, the whole damn world had the virus anyway. Afraid of us spreading it? What a joke!”
Cecelia stayed silent.
She didn’t respond.
Her brows were tightly furrowed as she looked toward the Eastern District, where the zombie density was extremely high. The iron mesh wall was electrified.
Many zombie corpses lay piled against it, already in advanced stages of decay.
The stench was overwhelming. Just looking at it was enough to sting the eyes.
Draven, however, was used to it. He quickly ran over, dragged a corpse out from a gap, and stripped the clothes off the zombie.
“Cecelia, hurry up. Grab a body, strip it, and put the clothes on. These corpses are completely rotten. Once the smell sticks to the clothes, it can mask our human scent. Makes it easier to move around inside the Eastern District!”
In no time, Draven had changed into a set of foul–smelling clothes.
Cecelia didn’t hesitate. After picking a corpse, she found herself a long coat. Not only that, she deliberately chopped off the zombie’s head, crushed it, and smeared the brain matter onto the coat.
“What the hell?”
Draven was stunned by how practiced she looked and quickly asked, “Cecelia, does smearing zombie brains on your clothes work better?”
Cecelia put on the coat and glanced at him. “Yeah. It smells worse.”
Draven fell silent.

That answer didn’t help at all.
What kind of useless explanation was that?
He looked speechless.
Meanwhile, Cecelia was adjusting her guns and dagger.

When Draven saw the pistols at her waist, his eyes lit up “Cecelia, that’s impressive! You’ve definitely got connections with the military, right? I’ve been in the Western District for so long, and I’ve never seen anyone outside of armed personnel or the military carrying guns!”
Cecelia raised a brow and pulled one out, handing it to him. “Know how to use it?”
“I can learn!”
Draven got even more excited and eagerly reached out to take it.
Cecelia handed it over.
In truth, she wasn’t lacking in firearms.
Earlier, she had taken 30 or 40 guns from Hendrick’s team.
After splitting into groups, half of them stayed with her team.
Cecelia kept three pistols for herself and gave several others to Ivy and the rest for protection.
But in reality, once their ability levels reached level three, guns weren’t that useful anymore unless the kind of unlimited–ammo firepower like Morton’s team.
For people like them, guns were mostly used for dealing with regular zombies or other ability users.

At this point, aside from wind ability users and physical ability users, there weren’t many who could actually dodge bullets.
“This is awesome! I never thought the first time I’d hold a pistol would be like this. Cecelia, your team must have other good stuff too, right? How about letting me join? I promise I won’t disappoint you. I’m also great at gathering information!”
Draven shamelessly started promoting himself again while admiring the pistol.
Cecelia’s mouth twitched. She gave him a look of disgust. “Aren’t you supposed to be well–informed? Then tell me where Kaczer Group is.”
“You mean that famous pharmaceutical company, Kaezer Group?”
“Yeah.”
“Uh…”
Draven’s expression suddenly changed. He looked at her “Cecelia, of all places, why would you pick that one?”
“What’s wrong?”
