Apocalypse God Mode: Unlocked (Cecilia) novel Chapter 253

Chapter 253 The Strange Tree

Now it was filling up with life again.

New branches kept growing. Leaves sprouted one after another.

When Cecelia counted, there were already dozens.

It looked like a bald man growing a few strands of hair. A little funny, honestly.

“Meow!”

Finished

Ginger leaped up in one jump and climbed onto a branch. He reached out with his paws, trying to hook the leaves.

Cecelia sighed. “Tiger, just let it grow. It’s already half bald. If you keep pulling at it, it’ll be pitiful.”

“Meow-”

Ginger didn’t seem happy. He scratched the bark a few times before finally jumping down.

Only then did Cecelia notice a piece of bark had been torn off. But it was healing right before her eyes.

By the time she blinked, the spot Ginger scratched was already gone.

As if trying to prove something, Ginger ran to the base of the tree. He stood up on his hind legs and scratched hard at the trunk like it was a scratching post.

He might be small, but he was still half a level 5 mutated beast. His claws were no joke.

Yet, every mark he made disappeared almost instantly.

It was like an indestructible scratching post.

Cecelia couldn’t help but laugh at her own thought. She walked over, patted Ginger’s head, and said. “Tiger, are you trying to tell me this tree is strange? That it can heal itself?”

“Meow!”

Ginger let out a firm cry and even nodded.

He had spent so long in the blank space. This was his territory now, and this tree was the strangest it.

Cecelia understood. She studied the tree again and reached out to pull on a leat

Even when she yanked hard, the leaf wouldn’t come off.

So she tore it apart instead.

The torn piece healed itself.

Chapter 253 The Strange Tree

Right in front of her eyes.

Finished

She looked at the half-leaf still in her hand. It started to melt, like liquid, then turned into a stream of energy and seeped into her skin.

“Huh?”

Cecelia froze. She clearly felt something new inside her-a pure kind of energy, completely different from the cobalt fluid.

This green energy spread fast, like it wanted to merge with her body.

It felt amazing.

She quickly returned to the real world.

Then she checked her body again. The green energy was still there. It had fused into her flesh and bones.

It worked differently from the cobalt fluid.

This one felt like it was adding life force.

She couldn’t quite explain it.

But one thing was clear-it wasn’t bad.

Everything in the blank space had been good for her so far.

So she tried pulling more leaves.

Same result.

But the tree seemed to have a temper.

After she tore off the tenth leaf, the next one didn’t heal anymore.

That was probably the limit.

Cecelia memorized the spot. She would come back later to see if it recovered.

“Cecelia?”

Ivy woke up when she felt Cecelia move.

She opened her eyes and saw Cecelia sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at her hands.

“What’s wrong?” Ivy asked quickly.

Cecelia turned to her, eyes bright. “Ivy, do you notice anything different about nie?”

Ivy paused, then looked her over carefully. “You slept well. You look… a bit more energetic today.

“Besides that?”.

Chapter 253 The Strange Tree

“Your skin looks lighter.”

“Wait, what?”

“And you look prettier than yesterday.”

“Ivy…”

Cecelia couldn’t help but laugh. “That’s not what I meant. You don’t have to force compliments.”

“I’m serious.”

Ivy pulled her up and dragged her to the mirror. “Look for yourself. Am I imagining it? Cecelia, you look like you’re glowing.”

Cecelia had no words.

She looked into the mirror and froze.

Ivy was right.

Not just her face, but her hands too. Her skin had turned much lighter.

After all the fighting and running around in the sun, she had gotten a few shades darker.

But now?

Now it was like she’d just gone through a full whitening treatment… no-more like bleaching

Way too pale.

So those leaves from the tree could whiten skin?

Or was that just a side effect?

Cecelia didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. It felt completely useless.

She was so bright she probably wouldn’t even need a flashlight at night.

“Cecelia, what’s going on?” Ivy asked, frowning a little, clearly worried. “Did you eat something bad?”

“No.”

Cecelia gave a simple explanation about the fluid and the tree in the blank space:

After listening, Ivy finally relaxed. “Then it sounds like those things aren’t harmful to you.
