Apocalypse God Mode: Unlocked (Cecilia) novel Chapter 269

Chapter 269 Splitting the Hunt

“Okay.”

Cecelia nodded and signaled Tiger to take Ivy and Amber and move first.

Draven and Oliver followed right after.

She called back the large roosters, then stayed behind with Blake to cover the rear.

Only after they got in the vehicle and fully left the Eastern District did Blake’s tight expression ease a little.

He pulled off his mask and said in a low voice, “Those two Level 5 mutated zombies have been following us the whole time. Not too close, not too far. Looks like they won’t give up until they get what they want.”

Cecelia scanned behind them and around the area.

She could clearly feel something hiding in the shadows, watching them.

So yeah-there was no way to avoid a fight.

After a short thought, she took out the Level 4 crystal they got earlier and tossed it to Draven. “Upgrade first.”

“What!”

Draven caught the crystal, stunned. He looked at Cecelia with emotion in his eyes. “Cecelia, I haven’t even done much. I don’t deserve this.”

“Cut it out. Once you level up, I’ve got plenty of work for you.”

She wasn’t giving it for free.

Draven understood right away. He stopped arguing and quickly started absorbing the crystal.

Based on Amber’s earlier upgrade, this would take about half an hour.

Cecelia then looked at Amber.

“How do you feel now?”

“Totally different, Cecelia!”

Amber showed her right away. With just a wave of her hand, several abandoned cars outside twisted and crushed together!

And not just two; all the metal in sight began to shake under her control, trying to break free from where it

was.

Compared to Level 3, she was way more in control now.

“That only used about ten percent of my ability.” Amber said excitedly. “My attack power’s way higher now

too!”

Even a metal guardrail by the road was ripped out with ease. The base twisted into sharp spikes, then shot forward.

In one instant, several zombies were pierced straight through. They dropped, knocking over more behind

them.

Simple moves-but deadly.

Ivy was just about to say something when a shadow suddenly swept past the car window.

A medium cargo truck flew over their heads and slammed into a group of zombies ahead.

Inside the car, Amber was sweating and grinning like crazy.

“These are just the basic, rough moves. Once I get better control, I can use smaller metal weapons for precise kills!”

“Good.” Cecelia nodded. “Your training paid off. Your control is solid.”

“You train me well, Cecelia!”

“Keep working on it.”

“Got it!”

Amber nodded again and again, staring at her hands like she couldn’t believe it. She was really Level 4

now.

It felt completely different from Level 1 to 3.

She had crossed a clear line and entered a whole new stage.

“Cecelia… Oliver’s hand…”

Ivy pointed at Oliver’s hands on the steering wheel.

Cecelia paused.

Blake glanced over and said, “He thought you were trapped and couldn’t get out. Tried to rip those branches apart with his bare hands. That’s how he ended up like that.”

Cecelia went quiet. She rubbed her temple, then leaned forward and tapped Oliver on the shoulder.

“Didn’t you say you trust me? If I told you to leave, I had a plan. If you stayed, that Level 5 mutated zombie would’ve killed you. What if I came out and saw your dead body? That would’ve been awful.”

“Cecelia…”

Oliver looked at her, worried and innocent. “If you get hurt… it’s fine if I die.”

Cecelia had no idea what to say.

In the end, she decided Blake needed to treat him as soon as possible.

She wouldn’t even know how to make up for it if Oliver truly died because of her actions.

Especially since he wasn’t thinking clearly right now.

What a mess!

The real problem right now was still those two Level 5 mutated zombies.
