Apocalypse God Mode: Unlocked (Cecilia) novel Chapter 275

Chapter 275 The Smell of Roast Chicken

“That’s what I was waiting to hear. Get some rest and heal up.”

Cade gave him a quick pat on the shoulder, then turned and left.

Timothy watched him go, holding the Level 4 crystal in his hand. His mood was complicated.

They had planned to hunt some lower-level mutated zombies today.

Their team only had one Level 4-Hendrick, with wind ability-so they had already agreed with Cecelia to team up. Working together would make taking down Level 4 enemies much easier.

But plans never go as expected.

They ran into a Level 4 mutated zombie first.

The fight had been tough. Really tough.

Worse, the creature had tried to escape.

Luckily, Morton showed up at the right moment and helped finish it off.

Cade’s team was short on manpower, so after getting the crystal, they followed Morton’s suggestion and helped out a bit.

Honestly, getting one Level 4 crystal was already a good gain.

Then Morton had Cade give Timothy another one. It was clearly a favor

Timothy looked at the two crystals in his bag and said to Hendrick and the others, “Let’s call it a day. We’ll head back and figure out how to use these later.”

“Sounds good.”

Matthew and the others nodded.

Only Hendrick seemed distracted.

Timothy patted his shoulder. “Still not feeling well?”

“No.”

Hendrick shook his head and stood up. “Let’s just head back.”

“Alright.”

Timothy watched his back as he walked ahead. It was obvious-something was on Hendrick’s mind.

He’d have to talk to him tonight.

“Was Hendrick off today?” Ryan leaned over and asked Matthew.

Matthew glanced at him. “Was he? I thought he did great. Otherwise, how could he have hurt that Level 4 zombie so badly? If he hadn’t run out of energy, we wouldn’t have needed Mr. Carter’s team to step in.”

“That’s true.”

Ryan sighed, rubbing his arm that had just been set back in place. “By the way, that guy Sean on Mr. Carter’s team-his healing ability is strong. Probably Level 4 too.”

“Yeah,” Regina said. “Same level as Ivy, but it feels different. For injuries like yours, Ivy would heal it

stantly. Sean just resets it-then you still feel all the pain.”

Timothy and the others opened the doors, before they even stepped out, a rich smell of roasted hit them.

She shouldn’t have said that.

Now that they smelled it, their stomachs started growling even louder.

“I’ll cook,” Matthew said.

They had plenty of supplies.
