Ivy’s face suddenly drained of color, and her legs gave out beneath her. She collapsed to the ground before anyone could react.
Cecelia rushed over and caught her before she could fall completely. Without hesitation, she pressed a crystal into Ivy’s hand. “Use this!”
“Mmm…”
Ivy didn’t dare waste a second. Timothy’s condition was too serious. She steadied her breathing, focused her mind, and began absorbing the crystal’s energy.
The process turned out to be far easier than she expected.
The energy inside the level 1 zombie crystal flowed into her body like a steady stream of water. It rushed through her ability channels and quickly filled within her.
She couldn’t break through to the next level, but that wasn’t what she needed right now.
In just a moment, her completely drained power was restored.
Ivy let out a quick breath and immediately used her healing ability again.
This time, the eight–inch wound across Timothy’s body began to close right in front of their eyes. The torn flesh slowly pulled together, sealing itself as if invisible hands were stitching it back into place. Within seconds, the injury had nearly disappeared.
But the moment the healing ended, Ivy’s strength gave out again, and she slumped weakly.
Timothy’s heavy blood loss still couldn’t be fixed so quickly.
“Cough, cough!”
He coughed twice, his pale face finally regaining some color.
Regina quickly wiped the sweat from his forehead. “Timothy, how are you feeling?”
“I’m better,” he said weakly. “Go help Hendrick and the others.”
He tried to push himself up.
Cecelia glanced toward the fight not far away. “I’ll go. I’m faster.”
Before anyone could stop her, she had already rushed into the battle.
At that exact moment, Ryan suddenly flew past her. He had just been kicked away by a zombie and slammed hard onto the ground nearby.
Ryan spat out a mouthful of blood. “Huh?”
Cecelia blinked at him. “What the hell?”

Seriously? Everyone here looked half–dead. At this rate, Ivy would collapse completely trying to heal them
all.
Matthew fell to the ground soon after.
Luckily, he didn’t cough up blood.
Maybe he was just built like a tank.
Not far away, Hendrick stood locked in battle with a level 2 zombie, sweat dripping down his forehead as he stared at the creature in front of him.
This one was far tougher than the one they encountered earlier inside the building.
Although Hendrick still had some ability left, taking it down would not be easy.
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Cecelia running toward him.
Cecelia glanced at him and asked simply. “Need another recharge?”
Hendrick’s mouth twitched slightly. “Can you hold it?”
Cecelia studied the burly level 2 zombie standing in front of them and frowned slightly. “I think so. You’ve got one minute.”
“Good.”
Hendrick nodded.
They had already used this tactic once before, and by now their coordination felt natural.
Cecelia drew in a deep breath and charged straight toward the level 2 zombie, deliberately drawing its
attention.
In the open street, there was far more space to move than inside the narrow hallway.
Her job was simple. Just buy Hendrick time.
Of course, that didn’t mean it was easy.
Luring zombies, especially a level 2, was anything but simple.
Unlike regular zombies, this one still had a small amount of awareness.
At first, its eyes followed Cecelia as she darted around.
But after several failed attempts to grab her, the huge zombie suddenly let out an angry roar.
Instead of continuing the chase, it abruptly turned and lunged toward Matthew, who was still struggling on the ground.
“Crap!

Cecelia’s expression changed instantly.
The zombie had lost interest in her.
She didn’t have time to think. Cecelia sprinted forward and drove her dagger straight into the back of its neck.
CRACK!
The blade sliced through bone.
The zombie immediately swung its arm backward, trying to grab her.
Cecelia planted both feet against its back and kicked herself away with force.
The dagger slid free with her movement.
With its spine severed, the zombie’s head tilted forward at a strange, broken angle, its neck collapsing unnaturally.
‘Wind Blade!”
A familiar shout echoed through the air.
A powerful gust of wind surged forward.
Cecelia quickly leapt backward.
Slash!
The level 2 zombie’s head was cleanly sliced off and dropped to the ground.
Thud!
Its massive body collapsed right after.
Cecelia was just about to breathe a sigh of relief; she froze when she looked up.
Regular zombies were appearing from every direction.
“Oh great!”
This was turning into a full–on siege!
The noise from their fight had clearly attracted attention. A lot of attention.
Matthew staggered to his feet and pointed toward a narrow alley. “That alley! Run!”
Everyone froze for a brief moment. Then survival instinct kicked in.
No matter how badly they were injured, they forced themselves up and rushed toward the alley.
