One of Sabrina’s suitors, Rex, was already rich enough to make sure that she never had to worry about anything.
In the end, Rex tried to lock Sabrina up. Jayson found out about it.
Sabrina asked Jayson for help.
Jayson planned to take her and run away. But Rex discovered them halfway. Sabrina was afraid Rex would find out she tried to escape. So, she suddenly said that Jayson had forced her to go with him.
Rex became furious. He immediately ordered his men to kill Jayson.
Back then, Cecelia had disguised herself as a servant in Rex’s mansion. She stood not far away and saw the whole thing with her own eyes.
Even when Jayson died, he still couldn’t believe the woman he loved would say such cruel words.
But he loved Sabrina deeply.
Cecelia had watched him carefully.
Even at the moment of death, Jayson never regretted loving Sabrina.
When he died, there was no hatred in his eyes. Only regret. He regretted that he failed to save Sabrina.
It was truly hopeless.
But Cecelia didn’t know when he first met Sabrina in her past life. She had never paid attention to that detail.
Back then, Jayson’s level was too low to be useful to her. She couldn’t use him to kill Sabrina.
But now that she happened to meet him here, maybe it was fate.
Cecelia raised an eyebrow and rubbed her chin while watching Jayson and two others fighting a level 3 zombie.
Clearly, with their current strength, they had no chance of winning.
Several level 1 ability users were hiding nearby, trembling in fear.
‘Haha.”
Cecelia shook her head as she watched.
But she had no plans to step in.
These people’s lives had nothing to do with her.

“Grrraah!”
Jayson was covered in sweat.
More than half of his ability had already been used up.
The others were in the same condition. Yet the mutated zombie in front of them still looked almost
unharmed.
The only damage was around its stomach. Their abilities had burned a hole in its clothes. Jayson had also pierced its chest with wooden spikes.
But attacking a zombie’s heart was useless.
They had to destroy its head.
The mutated zombie moved extremely fast. It even seemed to have some intelligence. It knew how to toy with them.
“Jayson, what should we do?” someone shouted. “My ability can’t last much longer. If this keeps going, we’ll all die to this monster! We should never have listened to Jerome! That guy never tells the truth. He said mutated zombies have something in their heads that can help upgrade our abilities. That’s obviously a lie!”
Randy Mandel, who had a fire ability, looked pale. His eyes were full of anger as he stared at a figure hiding in the corner.
Jayson’s face looked just as bad.
He was starting to doubt Jerome Lincoln’s words too.
But this mutated zombie had already killed several of their teammates.
He didn’t want to give up like this.
If the rumor was true, then this zombie had to be killed.
But he never expected it to be this powerful.
It was far beyond what they could handle.
“Yeah, we should split up and run now. Staying alive is more important!” said Cillian Cronin, who had a water ability.
His legs were shaking.
Earlier, he had been running at the back of the group. He didn’t dare slow down at all.
Behind him, he could hear the zombie chewing on flesh. The sound never stopped.
If he slowed down even a little, he would end up like the two teammates who had been eaten.
This mutated zombie was terrifying.

The other teammates hiding nearby also started to realize something was wrong.
“Why is this mutated zombie so strong?”
“Jerome, are you messing with us?”
“Yeah! You better explain how to deal with it. Otherwise we’ll throw you out as zombie bait so we can escape!”
Once someone said that out loud, it meant they were already thinking about doing it.
The man who said the last sentence suddenly shoved the boy standing in the corner.
The boy lost his balance and fell to the ground.
He wore a dirty hoodie. His pants were covered with dust and blood stains. His long bangs hid half of his face. But people could still see his tall nose and his pale, thin lips that looked almost delicate.
