Approved for Her Rejected for Me novel Chapter 48

Chapter 7

The elder looked puzzled. “The diviner predicted it. He said you were suited for our Alpha.”

That explanation was even more casual than I expected. What kind of man was Lucian Frost, really?

When the plane landed, Lucian came to greet me in person. He wore a gentle smile, nothing like the cold,

merciless monster the rumors claimed him to be.

He draped a fur coat over my shoulders. His voice was warm and low. “Cold? The Icefield is much colder than your Silvermoon Pack.”

I instinctively stepped back a little. “Alpha Lucian, may I ask what you expect me to do?”

I knew exactly what had happened. The Silvermoon Pack had sold me to him. I did not understand why I had

suddenly gone from plaything to Luna.

Maybe he needed a Luna for appearances. Maybe the rumors about his cruelty required him to find someone

to soften his image.

He stepped closer and gently pulled me into his arms. “Rule beside me, Freya. Or burn them all down. I care

not, as long as you are at my side.”

My entire face burned. Seeing the embarrassment on my cheeks, he seemed amused and led me into the

Pack House.

Inside, the décor was minimal and elegant, but with touches of soft color clearly newly added. As if someone

had prepared the entire place to welcome a new mistress.

Perhaps emboldened by the gentleness he showed me, I gathered my courage. “This is my plan. Please take

a look. I want to borrow some money. I will pay you back in installments.”

Lucian took the papers and scanned them briefly. “You are short on funds?”

How could I not be. I was the so-called daughter of the Silvermoon Alpha, yet I had been sent away with

nothing but the clothes on my back.

Quietly, I answered, “Yes. I do not have any money. But I promise I have ways to return it.”

I had awakened a white wolf. I knew I would one day be strong. But I had no support, no industries, no allies.

I did not dare reveal my abilities, not yet.

Lucian’s large, warm hand closed around my cold fingers, gently rubbing them. I blushed again, and his

expression softened even more.

“What do you need money for?”

I straightened and met his eyes. “Alpha Lucian…”

“Darling,” he interrupted softly, “you may call me Lucian.”

Heat climbed up my neck again. “Lu… Lucian, you probably know my past. I am half human. My mother is still imprisoned in the Silvermoon Pack.”

“I want to become strong. One day, I want to take control of the Silvermoon Pack and rescue my mother. I only need three years.”

Lucian clearly had not expected such honesty. We were strangers. Yet because he made me Luna, some instinctive part of me believed I could trust him.

He cupped the back of my head and gently ruffled my hair. “Everything I own is yours.”

Before I could react, he told his steward, “Show her the maps. Show her the blood-oaths. Everything under my sky now belongs to her.”

In my stunned silence, the steward returned with documents listing every asset, property, and financial holding of the largest northern pack.

Lucian placed them into my hands. “You are Luna. You may manage them as you wish.”

I was almost speechless. I had never seen such unimaginable wealth.

Lucian arranged for me to live in the best room of the Pack House. It was bright, with princess-style décor and sunlight pouring across the bed. No one had ever treated me with such care.

That night, Lucian did not come to my room. I did not understand, but I felt relieved. Perhaps he truly only
