Scarlett looked at them and forced a small smile. Then she turned back to Caleb. “Let them go.”

Caleb laughed out loud. “Let them go?” He raised an eyebrow. “How about both of you keep me company instead? And the little one can watch. She can learn how to please a man. When she’s older, she can join you. How does that sound?”

Scarlett couldn’t hold back. She couldn’t break free from the men holding her, but she screamed at him, her voice raw. “Caleb, you animal!”

Caleb wasn’t angry. He grinned. “Yeah. I’m an animal. So what?”

The words barely left his mouth before he yelped.

Scarlett looked down. Clara had sunk her teeth into Caleb’s leg.

Before Scarlett or Violet could react, Caleb kicked Clara to the floor.

Clara hit the ground and went still. Unconscious.

Scarlett and Violet screamed at the same time. “Clara! Clara!”

Caleb rubbed his leg, then kicked her again.

Violet was sobbing now, her voice cracking. “Caleb, leave her alone! She’s a child-she didn’t do anything!”

Caleb turned to Violet, disgust curling his lip. “Didn’t do anything? She bit me. Whose fault is that?”

Scarlett was shaking with rage. “You have no shame. None.”

Caleb was done talking. He waved a hand. “Take them to the RV.”

One of his men leaned in. “Which one, Caleb?”

Caleb’s gaze swept over Scarlett, then Violet. “Both.”

The man grinned. But before he could touch either of them, a heavy, synchronized stomping echoed from outside the studio.

Then a cold, arrogant voice cut through the air. “Who the hell dares touch my people?”

The voice faded, and men poured into the studio. In seconds, the room was packed.

They flanked Damian’s men, surrounding Caleb’s crew.

Seeing the sheer force of Damian’s arrival, Caleb’s thugs fell back, pressing themselves behind him.

Damian stood at the front. A long black coat draped over his lean frame. His cold gaze swept the room-and landed on Scarlett. On Violet. Both of them disheveled, faces wet with tears.

His chest tightened.

When his eyes moved to Caleb, they turned to knives.

Caleb shuddered under that gaze. He forced a sneer. “Damian?”

Damian looked at him coldly. Didn’t bother denying it. “Yeah.”

Caleb’s pulse hammered. He stared at Damian. “You trying to go up against Vincent?”

Damian laughed, low and cold. “Right now, I’m going up against you.”

His presence pressed down on Caleb, heavy, suffocating.

Caleb took an involuntary step back. All his earlier arrogance had drained away.

“Damian. If you touch me, Vincent will never forgive you.”

Damian stepped forward until he was standing right in front of him. His voice was lazy, almost bored. “Yeah? Can’t wait to see that.”

Caleb stared at him. “Psycho.”

Damian didn’t care. He glanced at Scarlett-saw her and Violet crouched over Clara.

Only then did he notice the little girl. She was lying in Violet’s arms, completely still.

He understood immediately. When he looked back at Caleb, his eyes were cold-blooded. Murderous. “You hurt Clara, too.”

Caleb felt the death in Damian’s gaze. Ice crawled down his spine.

He couldn’t meet Damian’s eyes. He looked around wildly, searching for an exit.

But Damian’s men had sealed the studio.

Not even a fly could get out.

Caleb didn’t deny it. Damian knew.

He’d had enough. He turned to the scar-faced man beside him. “Brett. Get them out of here.”

Brett Hall nodded. “Yes, sir.”

He gestured politely for Scarlett and Violet to leave.

Violet carried Clara, walking fast.

As she walked, she kept murmuring Clara’s name.
