Awakened Housewife Ignore Betrayer's Begs (Scarlett) novel Chapter 667

Sabrina mustered her courage and said, "For you, I'd face anything without fear."

Hearing the certainty in her voice, Vincent felt no joy—only a sudden, sharp memory of Scarlett.

Back when Vanessa was born, Scarlett had hemorrhaged severely. She needed a full blood transfusion, and the doctors had fought desperately to pull her through.

He must have been terrified then, too.

Noticing his distant expression, Sabrina touched his arm. "Vincent, what's on your mind?"

Vincent shook his head, as if to clear Scarlett from his thoughts, and turned to her. "Nothing. Let's finish cleaning up."

After they put the kitchen in order, Vincent and Sabrina stepped into the living room.

Maria approached them, holding a thick, creamy envelope.

She offered it to Vincent. "This is for you—a little token of my good wishes. Please accept it."

Vincent stared blankly at the envelope, clearly unsure what it meant.

Sabrina smiled gently. "It's a tradition here, Vincent. When you bring someone special home, elders often give a gift of money as a blessing for the relationship."

Suddenly, it hit him: when he and Scarlett had married, they'd skipped all these gestures—no traditions, no blessings, just a rushed ceremony.

"Vincent?" Sabrina's soft voice brought him back.

He hesitated only a moment before accepting the envelope. Then, without pause, he placed it in Sabrina's hands.

"Vincent... what are you doing?" Sabrina looked up at him, confused.

"You keep it," he said quietly. "From now on, you handle everything that's mine."

Sabrina's eyes welled up instantly, and a tender smile touched her lips.

After Damian wheeled Scarlett out of the hospital, the sky was clear and bright—not a trace of the earlier snow remained.

Scarlett had stayed up all night caring for Vanessa, and dark shadows hung beneath her eyes.

Damian locked the wheelchair brakes and crouched down to her level. "Why not come to my place and rest awhile?"

Scarlett glanced at him. "Aren't we visiting your grandmother's grave?"

Seeing her exhaustion, Damian asked gently, "You haven't slept. Are you sure you still want to go?"

"Yes," Scarlett replied without hesitation.
