Awakened Housewife Ignore Betrayer's Begs (Scarlett) novel Chapter 672

Since Damian was a public figure, Scarlett figured if anything serious happened to him, it would likely make the headlines.

She opened Twitter again to check.

Scrolling through, she didn't spot any trending news about Damian, but she did come across rumors that Vincent and Sabrina were getting serious—talk of them heading toward marriage.

The top post claimed the two had already met each other's parents, accompanied by a few photos. Though the images weren't sharp, anyone familiar with Vincent could recognize him.

Scarlett didn't linger on that post. She had known this was coming sooner or later.

If he was going to marry Sabrina, then finalizing their own divorce was just a matter of time.

While turning it over in her mind, her phone rang.

She glanced down—it was a call from Stewart Manor. Xavier's name flashed on the screen.

Remembering how he had treated her in the past, she still picked up. "Hello, Grandpa."

Xavier's voice came through, cool and commanding. "Come to Stewart Manor. We need to talk."

Scarlett wasn't eager to go. "You can tell me whatever it is over the phone."

But Xavier didn't budge. "It's better discussed in person," he replied tersely.

He seemed to assume that, like before, she would simply comply when he summoned her.

This time, though, Scarlett refused. "I can't make it."

Xavier's tone sharpened. "What did you say? You're ignoring me now?"

She offered an explanation, though her voice held little warmth. "My leg is injured. I can't come."

Xavier took it as an excuse. Unconvinced, he said, "I'll send James to pick you up."

James Bell was Xavier's personal driver.

Scarlett paused. If Xavier was willing to send James all this way, it must be something important.

She weighed the situation but still resisted. "What exactly do you need to discuss?"

Now irritated, Xavier replied, "It's about you and Vincent finalizing the divorce."

Scarlett understood immediately—he must have seen the news about Vincent and Sabrina. He wanted her and Vincent to officially split so Vincent could remarry sooner.

The thought stirred a dull ache in her chest. "If it's about the divorce," she said evenly, "you should take it up with Vincent, not me. If he's willing to meet me at the courthouse, we could wrap this up in ten minutes."
