Back in Time to Fall for Him novel Chapter 139

Johnny thought about Madison's recent attitude and immediately frowned. "So what now? Do we abandon the plan?"

Kaitlyn shook her head firmly. "No. The plan stays."

Her eyes hardened. "Madison's still our target. But before we move forward, we have to get rid of the obstacle in our way."

"Obstacle?" Johnny glanced over, not connecting anything.

Kaitlyn stared at him in disbelief. Was this man really getting dumber every day?

Johnny couldn't keep Madison reeled in or understand obvious clues. If their plan ever failed, he would be one of the reasons for it.

Still, it was too late to switch partners, so she took a deep breath and spelled it out. "Sam Goodwin."

Johnny's eyes widened. "You're insane!"

Kaitlyn was actually thinking about eliminating Sam.

Kaitlyn watched his panicked expression with growing disdain. "If we don't deal with Sam, we'll never get close to Madison again, especially now that she's completely cut ties with us. Do you think she'll let us control her like before?

"Are you really willing to walk away with just two small companies after all these years? And those two companies? They only grew because of Quinn Group and Goodwin Corp. Their yearly profits aren't even enough to cover the clothes she used to buy us in a single month!"

Her words hit Johnny right where it hurt. Walking away from Madison meant losing their biggest source of income. The companies wouldn't go under, but their revenue would plummet.

The mystery man would come to them again. It was only a matter of time.

Johnny wasn't completely stupid. After a few seconds, he understood. But another issue came to his mind.

"What do we do before he contacts us? Don't forget, before Madison went missing, she was going to audit the company accounts."

Kaitlyn had considered that, too. Their ties with Madison were completely broken. If she caught anything, she would crush Kaitlyn and Johnny without hesitation.

Kaitlyn thought and thought, but no solution came to mind. Finally, her face turned cold as she thought of the worst-case scenario. "If we can't avoid it, then we'll have to make Billy take the fall."
