Begging for a Second Chance (Sienna Sloan and Jarred Sterling) novel Chapter 150

Seeing her expression, the security guards at the gate hardened their stances, their attitudes growing even more hostile.

"Ms. Sloan, since the family won't allow you inside, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Standing around out here is ruining the property's aesthetic."

"Ruining the aesthetic?"

Sienna let out a dark, exasperated laugh, the morning's pent-up rage finally boiling over.

She turned on her heel and walked away. But instead of leaving, she hailed a cab straight to the nearest fireworks store.

An hour later, she marched back to the gates of Sterling Manor, dragging a massive bag of heavy-duty firecrackers.

While the security guards stared in absolute horror, she lit the first fuse and chucked the entire string over the manor walls.

CRACK! BANG! POP!

The deafening explosions shattered the tranquility of the elite neighborhood.

Sienna carried the remaining fireworks, walking the perimeter of the estate, lighting and throwing them one after another.

The relentless blasts echoed like a war zone, loud enough to shake the heavens.

Neighbors from adjacent mansions couldn't take the noise and started storming out to complain.

The security team rushed over but just exchanged panicked looks, none of them daring to physically restrain her.

Everyone knew Sienna was Jarred's legal wife. Even if they were getting divorced, the paperwork wasn't signed yet. Who had the guts to put their hands on her?

"Ms. Sloan, what on earth are you doing?!" the captain of the guard yelled, sweating profusely.

"Tell Jarred to get his ass out here!" Sienna shouted, lighting another massive string and hurling it over the fence.

The explosions blasted continuously, tearing through the once-peaceful manor and turning the grand living room into a chaotic mess.

Helena frowned, looking out the window. "What is going on out there?"

Eleanor, leaning on her cane, joined her in the living room alongside Celeste.

A maid bowed her head, trembling as she reported, "Madam, it's... it's Sienna. She's setting off firecrackers. She said she's here to take Mr. Sterling to get divorced, and since he won't see her, she's..."

A team of doctors and nurses surrounded him, running a series of intensive checks.

Standing a short distance away were Richard, Marcus, and Jarred, their expressions grim and focused.

In the early hours of the morning, Arthur had suddenly shown signs of waking up.

The doctors had urgently notified the family, stating there was a high probability he would fully regain consciousness this time.

That was exactly why the entire extended family had rushed to the estate today.

The family physician pulled away his stethoscope, a relieved smile spreading across his face.

"Congratulations. Arthur has regained consciousness, and his vitals are steadily improving."

Leaning against the wall, Jarred finally felt the crushing tension in his shoulders ease upon hearing those words.

The men hurried to the bedside just in time to see Arthur slowly open his eyes.

The doctor whispered, "He's been in a coma for a very long time, so his vision will take a while to fully adjust, but he can hear everything you say."
