"Much better. I feel much better now that you're here." Arthur chuckled softly, patting the back of Sienna's hand.
"My girl, could you do a couple of acupuncture sessions for me? Every time you finish, my old bones feel comfortable for days."
"Of course."
Sienna agreed, and Arthur immediately instructed the staff to prepare the supplies.
Right at that moment, Eleanor walked in, accompanied by Helena and Celeste.
Arthur's mental state hadn't been the greatest over the past few days. Although they all lived in the manor, the family doctor had strictly limited his visitors.
Because of this, he hadn't been fully caught up on everything going on around the house.
For instance, the fact that both Helena and Celeste had been stuck in wheelchairs.
It wasn't until the three women got closer that Arthur looked slightly taken aback.
His gaze swept over the two women in wheelchairs, his brows furrowing. "What happened to you two?"
Helena's eyes darted around shiftily as she forced a stiff smile. "Dad, I just took a little tumble. It's nothing serious."
Celeste nodded along, her hands gripping the armrests of her wheelchair tightly. She put on a perfectly docile, obedient act, keeping her head bowed as if she wished she could turn invisible to the old man.
Neither Eleanor nor Helena had ever mentioned the recent incidents to Arthur.
That included their vicious clashes with Sienna.
Listening from the sidelines, Sienna was surprised that they hadn't seized the opportunity to complain and play the victim.
However, she knew they weren't doing this to protect her; they were undoubtedly plotting something much darker.
She sneered inwardly but kept her expression completely neutral.
Soon, a maid brought over the acupuncture tools.
Sienna took the silver needle kit. As her fingertips brushed against the familiar cool metal, she habitually began inspecting her equipment.
The moment she picked up a small porcelain bottle, her movements stalled.
This was not her formula.
His entire face twisted in excruciating agony, and a low, raspy groan of pain tore from his throat.
"Grandpa!" Jarred was the first to rush over.
Dr. Clayton hurried right behind him, quickly pulling out his stethoscope to check Arthur's heartbeat and breathing.
Helena's wheelchair was positioned right behind Sienna.
She aggressively lunged forward, grabbing Sienna tightly by the wrist.
She shrieked, "Sienna! What did you do to my dad? You vicious woman! He just woke up, are you trying to kill him?"
Sienna effortlessly shook off her grip. "Mrs. Sterling, you can eat whatever you want, but you can't just spout nonsense. I didn't do anything."
"You still dare to make excuses!" Eleanor's walking cane slammed heavily against the floor tiles.
"There are so many eyes watching! The moment your needle went in, he ended up like this! And you still dare to claim you didn't do anything?"
Seeing Helena still trying to claw at Sienna's wrist, Jarred frowned deeply. He strode over and forcefully pried Helena's hands away.
