Two bodyguards instantly stepped forward.
However, before they could even take a full stride, Jarred had already moved to shield Sienna behind him.
He stood tall and unyielding, like an insurmountable mountain, shooting the guards a lethal glare. "I'd like to see you try!"
The two bodyguards stopped dead in their tracks.
Jarred turned his attention back to Arthur. "Grandpa, Sienna would never do anything to hurt you. There must be a misunderstanding here. Please give her a chance to explain."
Arthur remained silent, continuing to watch Sienna with an impassive expression.
Seeing that Sienna hadn't spoken up after several seconds, Jarred grew anxious.
He leaned down slightly, bringing his lips dangerously close to her ear, his voice laced with an obvious gentleness.
"Honey, you know exactly what happened, don't you? Just explain it to Grandpa clearly so people stop misunderstanding you."
As he spoke, he reached out to grab Sienna's hand, seemingly trying to reassure her that no matter what, he was standing entirely on her side.
But Sienna didn't appreciate the gesture at all. She glanced down at their intertwined fingers and yanked her hand away with an expressionless face.
Jarred stood frozen, staring at his violently rejected hand. It felt as if someone had just plunged a knife into his chest.
Arthur finally broke the silence, his voice deep and rich. "Sienna, things have gone this far. Do you really have no explanation?"
Sienna smiled faintly. It was a subtle smile, yet it sent an inexplicable chill down everyone's spine.
She pushed past Jarred, who was still trying to shield her, and walked up to Arthur's bed. She said softly, "Grandpa, what I just described was merely the outcome that whoever framed me wanted to see.
"But since I saw right through their little scheme, why would I have proceeded blindly?"
Sienna watched the fleeting panic flash through Helena and Eleanor's eyes before slowly turning to look at the family doctor.
"Dr. Clayton, you still have the acupuncture chart I gave you for Grandpa's previous treatments, don't you?"
Dr. Clayton nodded. "I've kept it safely stored."
The group quickly gathered around to examine it.
Two charts, two completely different sets of needle placements. The difference was night and day.
The truth had officially been exposed.
Eleanor and Helena's faces instantly drained of color, turning ashen pale.
Watching their hands tremble slightly, Sienna feigned a helpless look, dialing up her innocent tone. "Whoever did this was far too bold.
"Didn't they ever stop to consider that if I hadn't noticed the tampered ingredients and proceeded with the old acupuncture points, Grandpa would currently be...? Sigh!"
Sienna didn't finish the thought, but the implication was crystal clear to everyone in the room.
Arthur's body began to shake. It wasn't the frailty of illness, but the sheer, violent tremor of towering rage.
His voice came out hoarse, rumbling like an enraged lion. "Who? Who had the audacity to play such a dirty trick right under my nose?"
