You and Jarred are divorced! His money has absolutely nothing to do with you! Don't think you can extort me just because you dragged some lawyer in here. As if I couldn't afford to hire one myself!"
As she shouted, she shot a vicious glare at her bodyguards, signaling them to make a call.
The bodyguard quickly dialed the head of the Sterling legal team.
However, after listening to the response on the other end, the bodyguard's face fell. He looked at Helena with immense awkwardness and lowered his voice. "Ma'am, Mr. Jenkins said... she is legally entitled to half."
Helena spat furiously, "Over my dead body!"
The bodyguard stammered awkwardly, phone still in hand. "Ma'am... do you still want Mr. Jenkins and the team to come down and handle this?"
"Will their arrival magically stop her from taking my money?" Helena shrieked in absolute rage. "I'm not paying her! What is anyone going to do about it?"
Sienna and Thea watched the older woman's meltdown with icy composure.
"Whether I get my half isn't up to you. It's up to the law," Sienna stated coldly.
Celeste hurriedly wheeled herself forward, putting on a sickeningly tragic act. "Sienna, I know you suffered a lot of cold treatment during the years you were secretly married to Jarred.
But you were the one who used underhanded tricks to force him into marrying you in the first place.
Just because you could never win his heart doesn't mean you should resort to such despicable tactics to torment his mother."
With one calculated sentence, she successfully framed Sienna as a bitter, unhinged ex-wife desperate for revenge.
A few of the onlookers exchanged hesitant, questioning glances.
The chill in Sienna's eyes turned lethal, but she didn't budge an inch. "Ms. Stanton, I don't want to waste any more time here. Call the cops."
Thea nodded and shot her assistant a look. The young woman immediately pulled out her phone and started dialing.
Hearing the word "cops," blind panic seized Helena.
If this ended up at the police station, the Sterling family's reputation would be utterly destroyed!
The sales associate looked incredibly distressed. "I'm so sorry, Ma'am, but that highly collectible Colombian Emerald Necklace you just returned was immediately reserved by one of our top-tier VIP clients."
"What?" Helena lost her mind on the spot. "I just returned it! There was absolutely no one here to buy it. How could it be reserved?"
"It happened while you were processing the return paperwork," the associate explained nervously.
"One of our ultimate VIP clients called in and directly reserved the necklace. There are only three in the world, and the other two have already been sold."
The associate's voice shrank to a terrified whisper. "So right now... there's genuinely no way for you to buy it."
How could there possibly be such a perfect coincidence?
Helena slowly turned her head toward Sienna. Seeing the younger woman casually twirling her phone in her hand, Helena's eyes practically shot flames.
"It was you! You little bitch, you dare play me? I'll kill you!"
With a furious, ear-piercing shriek, she lunged right at her.
