"She schemed her way into the Sterling family, only to end up living in another woman's shadow. What a tragedy."
The mockery poured in from every direction, shredding the last ounce of Sienna's pride and hope into dust.
She looked down at the vibrant, glaringly pink hyacinths in her arms.
Then she looked up at Celeste, who wore a mask of fragile innocence while her eyes overflowed with triumph.
Every emotion suppressed in Sienna's chest erupted instantly.
She suddenly raised her arm and hurled the bouquet to the ground with all her might.
The pink hyacinths smashed against the floor, petals fracturing and scattering, the rich fragrance instantly tainted by the mess.
Sienna's expression was glacial, an arctic storm brewing in her eyes as she stared at Celeste. "The man you plotted so desperately to steal is nothing but trash I threw away. What makes you think you're worthy of apologizing on his behalf?"
"Sienna, don't push your luck!"
Gideon was the first to shout. As Celeste's ultimate loyalist, he was always the first to jump to the frontlines for her.
Sienna ignored him completely, not bothering to spare him a single glance.
Her icy gaze remained locked on Celeste, a faint, contemptuous sneer lifting the corner of her mouth.
"You certainly love chewing on my leftovers. Are you just that desperate, or naturally pathetic?"
Celeste's face fell. Her gentle facade vanished, replaced by a cold warning. "Sienna, watch how you speak to me."
"My respect depends on the species I'm talking to," Sienna replied, her voice razor-sharp.
"There are millions of people in this world with the same name. Who knows who Jarred was really calling out for? Spare me your repulsive acting; it insults my intelligence."
She took a step forward, grabbing the cake box from Luna's hand and weighing it in her palm.
"Here, have your stuff back!"
Before anyone could react, Sienna slammed the cake directly into Celeste's face.
The exquisite Champagne Cake flew through the air in a flawless arc.
Amidst the fray, a vicious glint flashed in Celeste's eyes.
She suddenly grabbed an empty glass bottle from the table and, with all her strength, swung it straight at Sienna's head.
Luna, who had been guarding Sienna the whole time, reacted faster than she could think.
She and Sienna lunged forward from both sides, simultaneously grabbing Celeste and yanking her right out of the wheelchair.
"You bitch! Your legs are broken and you're still pulling stunts? I'll make sure you're paralyzed from the neck down today!"
Furious, Luna reached out to snatch the bottle for a counterattack.
Celeste thrashed wildly on the ground. The three of them became tangled in a chaotic scuffle.
The scene was spiraling completely out of control.
Over the roar of the brawl, a panicked voice suddenly pierced the air: "The cops are here!"
