Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 131

Elias Landon calmly glanced back at Tessa Thorne, his tone soft. "Taking your anger out on an innocent maid. Tessa, you've changed so much."

Tessa opened her mouth, completely speechless in that moment.

She could only watch helplessly as Elias carried the maid out to find a doctor, unable to even stop him.

Tessa was furious but didn't dare to make another move.

She couldn't figure out why things had suddenly turned out this way.

Meanwhile, at the Western restaurant.

Willow Shaw couldn't help but look at Vivienne Vance. The latter's face was clearly flushed with anger, yet surprisingly, she didn't say a word, merely glaring coldly at Caspian Skye.

Caspian shifted uncomfortably. "If you want to yell, just yell at me."

Vivienne scoffed. "As if I'd dare! If I actually gave you a piece of my mind, what if you just keep offering yourself up as a blood bank for the Landon family? Is this really how you've been repaying their favor all these years?"

Caspian lowered his gaze, awkwardly cutting his steak into small pieces before offering it to Vivienne in a placating manner.

Vivienne huffed and pushed the plate back.

Caspian looked at the untouched steak, his expression turning quite somber.

Willow quickly stepped in to smooth things over. "Alright, alright. Maestro Skye has already promised me he won't take Tessa as his student anytime soon. Don't be angry, Vivienne. Isn't the Landon family holding a press conference? Let them hold it. They'll just be embarrassing themselves when the time comes."

Pausing for a second, Willow smiled again. "But this is actually a good thing. With the Landon family pulling a stunt like this, it means they won't keep pressuring Maestro Skye for the next couple of days. At least we'll get some peace and quiet."

Vivienne sighed. "Willow, do you really have a plan? Caspian might be dense, but I still don't want to see him entangled with such a shameless family."

Despite being insulted to his face, Caspian wasn't angry. Instead, he habitually curled his fingers and cut the steak into even smaller pieces. He wasn't stupid; he knew Vivienne was just worried about him.
