Elias was incredibly thankful that the medical records had been scrubbed. Otherwise, they would have been completely doomed this time.
He couldn't help but wonder just how much money Willow had paid Adelina to make her betray a hospital she had worked at for a decade.
But the most unacceptable part was that Willow was the mastermind behind all of this!
In his heart, even though Willow had been making a scene lately, it was all just a desperate ploy to grab his attention and make him regret his actions.
But now that she was openly fighting him and ruining the Landon family's reputation, Elias was reaching his breaking point!
He wasn't going to let her play these games anymore.
Elias's eyes brimmed with hostility. A second later, Caspian spoke up. "Elias, do you still want to keep lying to the public? Using me as a stepping stone to twist the facts and manipulate everyone? I'm done playing your game."
Looking directly into the cameras, Caspian enunciated every word. "Everyone, let me tell you the truth. I remained close to the Landon family all these years because, after an accident at an art exhibition left me in a coma, I was rushed to The Landon Medical Center. I mistakenly believed they paid out of pocket to save me, so I treated them as my saviors and gave everything to repay them. But I never expected..."
Elias's heart skipped a beat, a suffocating wave of dread washing over him. The next second, Caspian continued.
"The person who actually paid my medical bills wasn't the hospital at all, but a kindhearted man named Mr. Jagger! He paid millions of dollars upfront, but The Landon Medical Center embezzled the funds, used the cheapest drugs on me, and caused my left eye—which could have been saved—to be permanently blinded and surgically removed!"
The words felt like a criminal sentencing, leaving Elias so dizzy he nearly collapsed.
He knew everything?!
How was that possible?!
How did he know so much!
Weren't the medical records already destroyed?
