Cedric wasn't a direct uncle to Willow; he was Robert's cousin.
Though the blood relation wasn't entirely distant, Cedric had always been at odds with Robert since childhood. After Robert single-handedly built The Shaw Group into a powerhouse, Cedric secretly resented him even more.
Every time they met, he would dish out cynical remarks and even secretly belittle the younger generation.
The worst incident was when he covertly pinched Willow's arm until it bruised. When Robert found out, he ruthlessly cut all family ties with him.
After Robert died, Cedric realized there was a profit to be made and quickly swooped in, attempting to carve up the shares of The Shaw Group.
Although Xavier was still young at the time, he had been groomed as Robert's heir for a long time.
It was Xavier who maneuvered for over half a year, driving away all the opportunistic relatives and firmly securing his position within The Shaw Group.
From then on, Cedric hated them even more.
The last time Willow saw Cedric, he had been holding chloroform, approaching her with a sinister smile, attempting to abduct her.
That was Willow's greatest nightmare.
So, when Leo made that threat back then, Willow was terrified.
She was so young, thinking that as long as she admitted her mistake, she could avoid punishment.
So, she apologized.
But that apology only cemented her guilt.
Although they didn't actually send her to Cedric's house, they did cancel her piano lessons and sent her to Hope Haven Orphanage for a month.
They dumped her anonymously at the front door.
At the time, everyone there thought Willow was just an unwanted, abandoned child.
She had been pampered by her parents since she was little. Even though the five Shaw brothers treated her increasingly poorly later on, she had never gone hungry and had no idea how cruel an orphanage could be.
Willow didn't know how to fight for her meals or navigate their unspoken rules.
