Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 322

Willow lost her patience completely. Her sharp gaze pierced through him, tearing down every last shred of his pathetic facade. "Julian, if you had just owned up to your sins, I might have given you an ounce of respect. But you're nothing but a worthless, self-righteous hypocrite."

Julian's face drained of all color. A violent headache split his skull as a tidal wave of suppressed memories flooded his mind—flashes of Willow, sobbing uncontrollably as a little girl.

He couldn't speak. All he could hear was Willow's emotionless voice delivering his final verdict. "I despise you. Stop pulling these pathetic stunts to manipulate my sympathy or forgiveness. My soul won't allow me to betray myself like that."

With those final words, Willow turned on her heel and walked out, not sparing him another second of her time.

Willow genuinely felt nauseated by them. A huge portion of the misery in her past life was directly caused by Tessa and her five brothers.

Tessa being a greedy, manipulative snake was one thing.

But the fact that her brothers had blindly trusted an outsider, completely destroying their own biological sister just to uplift Tessa, was an entirely different crime.

Did someone hold a knife to their throats and force them to shower Tessa with affection?

No. It was entirely voluntary.

Since it was a choice they had made with full consciousness, what right did they have to crawl back and beg for forgiveness now?

Why should Willow, who had literally died and clawed her way back to rewrite her destiny, be expected to just hand over her forgiveness the second they decided to apologize?

Was she just meant to be their eternal doormat? Was she destined to swallow their abuse?

She had zero interest in playing the patron saint of forgiveness. If she didn't ruthlessly protect her own heart, no one else ever would.

Once Willow's figure vanished from the hallway, Julian looked over at Xavier, his eyes completely dead.

Xavier offered no comfort. He just stared blankly at the wall and muttered, "We brought this upon ourselves."

When they had ruthlessly crushed Willow into the dirt, they should have been prepared for this bridge to burn permanently.

They had planted these toxic seeds, and now they were choking on the harvest.

Julian hung his head in absolute defeat, entirely stripped of words.

Meanwhile, Willow's turbulent emotions settled the moment she returned to her apartment.

She wasn't furious; she just felt an intense wave of sorrow for the girl she used to be.
