Betrayed by Blood: My Second Life as a Queen novel Chapter 325

Willow couldn't be bothered to deal with Tessa, simply locking her screen and tossing her phone aside.

On the other end, Tessa waited until nightfall. When no reply came, her face twisted with fury. She wanted to send another message but felt it would make her look desperate. Frustrated, she slammed her phone onto the bed, her eyes burning with cold resentment.

Fake it!

Let Willow pretend all she wanted. She had to be dying of jealousy right now!

After all, despite how much Willow sucked up to Mr. Yale, the renowned doctor hadn't announced any intentions of taking her on as a student in the industry.

At that thought, Tessa's turbulent mood finally settled.

She glanced at her phone. It was already eleven o'clock, and Elias still wasn't home.

She called him. It rang twice before he bluntly declined it. A sudden wave of panic washed over Tessa.

Sleep evaded her. She sat rigidly on the sofa until three in the morning, when Elias finally walked through the door.

He brought with him the lingering scent of a stranger's perfume.

Tessa's eyes instantly welled with red. "Where were you?" she demanded.

Elias frowned, his patience visibly wearing thin, and his tone was harsh. "Aren't you overstepping your bounds, Tessa? Do I need to report my daily itinerary to you?"

The callous words left Tessa trembling with rage. She shot up from the sofa and pointed at the faint lipstick smudge on his collar. "Did you go looking for that maid again?!"

Elias froze. His gaze turned chillingly detached. "Tessa, Yvette has had a hard life. She was deprived of an education and forced to serve others just to survive. Stop harassing her, and quit resorting to such lowly tactics."
